WORTH IT
I am a 57 year old mother of three and wanted to do something about my enormous tummy, which made it difficult to find clothes that fit properly, as my waist measurement was disproportionately large compared with the rest of me.
After much research I decided that vaser liposuction at Manchester Private Hospital was what I wanted. At my first consultation I was advised that vaser lipo would not give me the best results, and a tummy tuck was recommended instead. I was given plenty of time to think about it over the next few days and I decided that a tummy tuck was not for me as it just seemed too invasive - I've never had any kind of surgery before. When I let the hospital know, I explained that I understood the risk of having loose skin after having liposuction, but would still like to go ahead and I was given a new consultation with Dr Kam Singh.
Dr Singh was very friendly and easy to talk to. I felt that he listened to me and understood where I was coming from. I booked in for Vaser Lipo on two areas - the lower and upper abdomen.
On the day of the procedure I was very anxious, but the nurses were lovely and reassuring. Dr Singh chatted with me throughout and it was over much quicker than I'd expected. After a lie down, a cup of tea and some toast, my friend collected me in a taxi and I stayed in a nearby hotel for the night, returning home the next day by train.
I was a bit uncomfortable for a few days, but I only needed the painkillers for the first day or two. After a week I had a Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage which was very helpful and not at all painful.
I'm very happy with the results and I feel much more confident. I just wish I had done it 20 years ago!
