I had a breast lift done less than 2 weeks ago...

Imoan
WORTH IT
I had a breast lift done less than 2 weeks ago and I'm so pleased with the surgery by Dr. Gelfant (he truly is great at what he does). I feel younger, no pain from the surgery, the scars you can hardly see
( a real surprize) and now my breasts look like a much younger woman which is wonderful since I'm in my 50's. No more looking at SAGGY DEFLATED breasts due to age and breastfeeding!!! When I was considering the surgery, I didn't want any implants due to personal reasons, but I was told that I had enough breast tissue that my breasts would look better after a breast lift. I felt apprehensive and nervous at first as I was worried what they would look like from the surgery, but Dr. Gelfant said to think of it as a skin operation. I'm so glad I went ahead with it as the cost was worth every penny! I have included the before and after pics (12 days after) but remember the breast are still in their healing process so they will look even better in 6 months. I'm sure you will agree that there is an incrediable difference. If you are considering this surgery, then please have Dr. Gelfant be the doctor you choose as my breasts wouldn't look as good as they do without his years of experience and passion for woman to look and feel their best.
thank you again Dr. Gelfant and your staff for changing my life in this area.
p.s. my husband also thanks you as now he has perky ones to look at and he wishes he had your job! LOL

They look super better even 12 days out. And he reduced your nipples. Some docs are lazy and won't. 6 months from now they are going to look amazing!!! Happy healing and congratulations! :-)
December 3, 2014
Ya he did a great job now my breast stay where they are instead of me arranging them in my bra when I exercise as they always weren't aligned now they seat were they should be and I feel and look younger. Did u have it done as well?
December 3, 2014
You look great!!! Congrats!
December 3, 2014
thank you as Im really happy with the results
December 6, 2014
Thanks so much for posting this, and congrats on the great results. I'm turning 50 in a few weeks, and am thinking of doing the same procedure - breast lift without implants. Would you be able to share more pictures of how you are healing over the last week? I'm very very very nervous about the procedure.
December 8, 2014
I will send you some newer pics in a few days.
December 12, 2014
Hi. How are you doing with the healing the last few days? I'm so so so close to making a phone call to book my breast lift appointment (with Dr. Gelfant), but am still nervous about the procedure and doing a BA without implants. Just worried that without the implants, I may not be completely satisfied with the results. Would love to see your latest pictures and hear more about your healing. Thanks for sharing your experience.
December 12, 2014
Will send you some new pics soon but even if you don't have implants done now you probably still need a breast lift first as the breast have to be in the right place before he can put the implants in.My breast look so much better but I could see why the implants would make my breast even better, but right now I don't want implants and are happy with the results as I no longer have saggy deflated breast
December 13, 2014
Thank you. Are you feeling much pain these last few days? I guess it would be about 2 weeks now after your surgery? Hope you're doing great!
December 26, 2014
Happy Holidays! How are you doing with the healing lately? I have scheduled my surgery for next month and am just wondering how you are doing. Would love to see any pictures that you can share. Thanks!
December 26, 2014
Here is another pic, I'm happy I went thru it, but I guess implants would have made the top part of my breast better, the scars a very little
December 28, 2014
I'm happy for you that you have such successful results. I'm having my surgery in Jan. Exactly like yours - lift without implants. I'm scared but also very excited. What you have posted in terms of your experience and the healing pictures really help to lessen my fear. Thanks so much, and please keep on posting if you don't mind.
December 28, 2014
Remember to think the surgery as a skin operation not muscle as that is were there is more complications with implants but you are just rearrange your breast to where they should be. All the best. I see him in January for my 6 week check up but remember every week they seem to be different as I found after 4 weeks was the best to judge how they look as they will look differant the first 2 weeks due to the surgery
December 28, 2014
Thanks(!) and I will remember all your comments, and stop myself from being so afraid. If you don't mind, I would love to hear from you, and see more pics of you right before my surgery date near end of Jan. My ex just left me after 12 years, and I'm feeling lost these days not having someone to bounce things off with.

I'm sorry and at Christmas! Hope you can go thru counselling as many don't realize if you don't work IT out in the first relationship it will just repeat itself in the next one. well at least he could have waited after your breast lift! Will keep you posted, remember not everything is perfect about my breast but the changes I'm happy about than what they were before. And Dr Gelfant has been doing surgery for at least 30 years so I think he is good at what he does but nothing is guaranteed but he does good work I feel and worth it.
January 3, 2015
Thanks for your encouragement. I'm truly happy(!) for your terrific results. Yeah, it was pretty hard during Xmas and New Year to be alone; but I've been seeking counselling and will keep thinking positive to help myself get through this.
January 3, 2015
I'm glad, we'll all the best to your new future girls!
January 11, 2015
Hello and Happy New Year! I just turned 50 on Wednesday, and am going in for my pre-op this Friday. Getting excited and scared again at the same time. How are you doing with the healing? How are the scars? Do you have any latest pictures you can share with us? thx.
January 20, 2015
How you doing are you going to do the surgery soon? I did post newer pics. Let me know how it goes ok?
January 21, 2015
Yes, for sure I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for all your support. My surgery is Jan 29 (next week). I'm BEYOND nervous. But I want to do this as a gift to myself for turning 50, and for not giving up on myself even though my ex left me because he was desperate for a young girl.
January 21, 2015
you will be happy with the results and feel/look younger than 50 ( that younger woman will get saggy boobs one day LOL) and tell Dr. Gelfant I have been encouraging you as he has been doing this for 30 years and what he knows today is so much better and he has all that experience to make you look your best. Make sure you take some pics of your breasts before surgery, after surgery, etc document it so we can see the results. there is this scar cream that I have been using eventhough the scars aren't that bad that you might want to purchase at Shoppers Drug mart. When I get home I will get you the name as I started using it after the stitches were out and it's not that expensive. Most of the scars will be under your breast anyways. All the best to your new girls! It has been 8 weeks now for me and I really feel and look so much more better, its worth it. Maybe after this you can go after some younger guy as pay back LOL
January 22, 2015
Hahahaha. Thanks for making me laugh. I haven't laughed for a long time .. it feels good to laugh again. Ok, I'll mention this to Dr. Gelfant that we've been chatting on RealShelf. I'll post the before and after pics as well once my surgery is over. And if you wouldn't mind sending me the name of the scar cream, that would be great. Are you now able to go back to your regular routine for work or exercise after 8 weeks?
January 22, 2015
yep I have
January 23, 2015
The name of the creme is from Bioderma Cicabio creme 40ml. You put it on twice a day so morning & night and it cost $12-17 as I can't remember the actually price, t has a point end to apply directly so start using it after the stitches are out. I got it at shoppers drug mart
January 24, 2015
thanks!!! Just reading the pre-op info from Dr. Gelfant's office. Did you buy any ice bags for your breasts to relieve the discomfort after your surgery? or did you find the tylenol 3 good enough?
January 24, 2015
I didn't have any pain after the surgery and didn't need 2 take the tynol 3 but I didn't use any ice packs just an achy feeling feeling tender but everyone is different, u can prep some bags of pees and have a bra that holds your Breast in as it was the part under the Breast that takes the longest to heal. You will be fine I'm routing for ya
January 30, 2015
How did your surgery go? I want to see so pics. How all is well
January 30, 2015
Hi there! Sorry ... had my surgery yesterday and I was feeling really groggy until this morning so couldn't reply any earlier. Everything went really really well! I'm so happy with Dr. Gelfant's work on me. Not only was his work fabulous, he was so patient, understanding, and kind. The pain is completely manageable. I'm down to just one pain killer every 4 hours. I took some pictures of myself before the surgery, and will take more pictures of myself in the next few days to show you. Right now, I'm all taped up so its kind of hard to see the results. But I can tell from the shape my breasts are in right now that they will look really good. I'm so happy (!!) with the results (just like you). Thanks again for all your support. You gave me a lot of confidence and comfort going into the surgery. hugs.
January 30, 2015
Awh that's great. I can't wait to see the before and after pics. Since it has been 2 months for me since the surgery the GIRLs keep looking better and better. Make sure you put on that cream I mentioned once the stitches are out as I think it really made a difference in my scars. and then buy yourself a nice new bra, go to CHANGES in west van as they will get a bra that fits really nice so you can feel sexy! chow dear
February 11, 2015

December 13, 2014

Results look good! What bra size were you before and after your surgery?
January 2, 2015
My bra size didn't really change as I was a 36 C but now I wear a 34 D which is about the same as all my old bras don't seem any different but now everything is where it should be but I could go without a bra now since they are perky.but with a good fitting bra it makes them look awesome as I'm so proud of my new adjusted breasts. So glad I had this done as it was worth it!

Awesome! Thanks for the quick response... My tummy tuck and lift is scheduled for Jan 12th :-)
January 3, 2015
I assume you're doing it at Dr. Gelfant's? Are you doing implants for your lift? My lift is end of Jan (no implants). Best of luck to you!! Keep us posted on how you do with healing, etc.
January 3, 2015
No implants, just a thought that they would look better but I'm happy that I was able to improve them without implants. At least taking the first step in getting the breast lift was the best thing to do

5 weeks after breast lift

I'm happy with the surgery as the scars aren't that bad. One of my breast is slightly bigger but that is my own breast not the fault of the doctor. I didn't get any implants but I could see that would give me fullness, but I just bought some new bras and the look great! Make sure you get a bra fitting at the store changes as now I know my real size eventhough I'm wearing the same size it's just this store fits to your breast size properly

The scars look great!! Your breasts too. Would be great if you kept posting.
December 28, 2014
Ok let me know how your surgery goes and keep me posted. What are you getting done? Breast lift? No implants? I would see how the breast lift goes first and then you can change your mind about implants or not so you recover from the first step which I believe is the breast lift if you're not sure. But it probably cost more this way. But for me my breasts have had a major change which I'm happy about but with time the breasts do settle. I liked them when they were swollen from the surgery as now the are smaller but great.
