Was checked by my doctor at 6 1/2 weeks and given to go ahead for careful intimacy.
Gave it a try and things were very tight and tender. Waited another week and a half to try again. Less discomfort, tightness similar to pre-pregnancy, tenderness mostly at the entrance. I did feel less pleasure even though tighter. Somewhat concerned but wondering if it’s just because I’m still tender and need to mentally relax.
My partner liked the tightness but felt it was a new feeling that he would need to get used to. As a couple we are struggling with some intimacy issues that we hoped the surgery would improve. Unfortunately the part of the problem may be physical with him and the surgery will not remedy that.

Vaginoplasty week 4
Feel like I’m healing well. Very little discomfort at this point. Occasionally get minor pain in area between vaginal opening and rectum, but brief and manageable.
Wishing I could exercise again but will be satisfied with short walks for now.

1 week update
Officially one week. Pain is minimal and easily managed with Motrin and Tylenol PM. Not able to stay on my feet for longer than 20/30mins before feeling uncomfortable. Was able to take a very slow walk around the block today with little discomfort.
Small amount of bleeding, have regular bowel movements now (such a relief), and feel like my healing path is on track.
