8 Days Post Op----Pics

Well, BBL ladies, after lurking the site forever, I feel like I'm cheating by not posting back. I am 41 yrs old (older than a lot of you so this feel a lil creepy), mother of three (20, 15, 8). Very cute if I may say so myself but BOXXY AS HELL! Never had a butt, always teased in fun by my friends and family. I never really had a complex because I thought cute would be enough. Now I just wanna look like I want to in clothes and give myself the body I deserve since I am always taking care of the kids and husband. (Oh did I forget him earlier in the description? OOOPS!) I'll try to be short. Im 190 lbs. 5'6, (measurements are approx. not good at this) 43", 38", 41". CAN YOU SAY BOXXXY?.

I've researched of course the heavy hitters starting with Jimerson, who quoted approx. $15K for BBL and TT, Salama who quoted $8,499. just BBL (doesn't perform both procedures together anymore) and Yily who quoted $3800 for BBL & TT but it would come out to be more as I would add more areas of lipo, I think this only include two.

So Salama is out b/c I don't wanna go through this twice and my main goal has always been the tummy tuck (BBL is a +, albiet much need + LOL), Jimerson is hella expensive which I would consider but I have to wait until Jan 30th for a telephone consult, so imagine how long I would have to wait for the Op date. And I am awaiting a call back from Massiel (Dr. Yily's asst) tomorrow with a date. So with price and timeframe being the mitigating factors, so far it seems Yily is leading. I am still very apprehensive about going out of the country. So thanks to you all, I am learning a lot and feeling more at ease if that is the choice. Any opinions are welcome.

After careful consideration, I will post some before pics (OMG! YA'LL BETTA NOT LAUGH). Or on second thought maybe I'll post some b4 pics when I have afters to follow up and then I can take the laughs. Sooooooo HELP? Has anyone gone to DR alone, how did you manage?

So as promised Massiel (Dr. Yily's assistant) called me this evening and I have a date scheduled for WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2012. I decided on this day after speaking to a few co-workers who informed it is always cheaper to fly during the week. They advised stay away from Jan bc New Year's celebrations are huge in DR for almost the whole month and February is bad bc of some type of carnival. March not so great either due to the huge Easter celebrations. Flights can be over $700 during these times and on average $450-$500 off peak.

So included in the quote is: AREAS OF LIPO, underarms, flanks, full abdomen, and full back
BBL and TT including muscles sutured.
& ONE GARMENT
BASE PRICE: $3800 (Sounds great right?)- Then average in the following:
RECOVERY HOUSE 13 DAYS (one day at surgery location 14 total): Approx. $1,170 (@ $90. daily)
TEN MASSAGES: $310. (@ $31. each)
AIRFARE: $600 (Approximation)
TOTAL: $5601. Still Sounds OK. ADD ADDITIONAL CASH FOR INCIDENTIALS about $1000. I would say.

My reservations: Overseas surgery although Massiel speaks English Dr. Yily doesn't, I am very nervous about the language barrier although I am told she has her assistant and interpreters available. ????

The average time for the surgery is 3 to 4 hours.

I am still researching, considering Dr. Campos (Mexico) and Dr. Perry (Florida)

Tonight after work has been dedicated to MORE research. I contact via email, Dr. Robles (DR), DR. Campos (MX), Dr. Perry (FL), and Dr. A. Hernandez-Pizzaglio (DR).

Dr. Robles' assistant Laura Castro contacted me quickly by email and via text. I filled out a questionaire and submitted pics. Awaiting a reply.

Dr. Perry contact me very quickly as well, he quoted $7600 for:
BBL & TT including:
Lipo of Abs, back, flanks, inner thighs (didn't think I needed this, but Dr.'s orders LOL) and Knees (I have never heard of Knee lipo :O ).
Injection to sides for hips and posterier for projection.

This consult seems right on target to what I am looking to achieve (don't know about thighs and knees) but will see.
So of course this doesn't include logding and airfare. I researched airfare from NJ to Mia FL and found a flight for under $200 round trip. So with logding included this may put me just under $9,000 for US surgery. I may be sold.

Still researching though and still awaiting input from my BBL ladies..... WHAT YA'LL THINK?
