So Unbelievably Happy with my Tummy Tuck and Dr. Shortt.
WORTH IT
After having two very big babies (9&11.5lb) I was left with stretched abdominal skin and a gap in my abdominal wall that no amount of working out was going to fix....and I tried!
I knew I was going to need surgery but it was a long road of research and decision making including the final two years of actually visiting surgeons for consults (both with and without initial consult fees) before making my decision to go with Dr. Shortt. He did not disappoint!
From the appointments, to the surgery techniques, products, his nursing and support staff, and after surgery care I could not be happier with my decision to go with him nor with my results.
To start Dr. Shortt was very personable, he listened to what I wanted and seemed to really care about my concerns and get what I was looking for. One of my biggest concerns like most was the aesthetic of the post surgery belly button as well as having a low straight incision.
Dr. Shortt was able to clearly explain his techniques taking extra time with those specific aspects. He was also able to provide me with numerous before and after pictures which sold me on both.
The day of the surgery everyone was very professional and comforting. They put me right at ease. Surgery went very well and I did not feel rushed out at all. The nurse that took care of me after surgery was so nice and even though I could tell her shift was likely over she stayed with me until I was safe and ready to go home.
I had zero complications throughout my recovery and pain was very minimal and manageable! I believe that was definitely due to the time and care Dr. Shortt took with me. I loved that I had NO drains which likely made me more mobile after as well. I was provided with a very good quality binder which I was put in right after surgery and wore throughout my recovery. They also provided me with this special scar reducing tape at 6 weeks to use at night. (From many other reviews I have read others have had to buy these thins themselves).
I am so happy with my results. My belly button is way better than I even had before I went into surgery and my scar is very straight, low and thin!. Very easy to hide and already fading well. I am so happy with my decision to go with Dr. Shortt!! (Before and after pictures attached!!)
