My Transformation with Dr Terence Goh

WORTH IT

I’m blessed to had chosen Dr Terence Goh and his medical team who are not just compassionate but also highly professional to help me with this transformation journey for my Abdominoplasty, Hernia Repair surgery, Liposuction, Fat Grafting on my ace and breast.

After three difficult pregnancies, massive weight gained (up to 28kg) and some weight loss, it took a toll on me. Even with frequent exercises (Pilates, HITS, Yoga and Running), I slim down but always carrying a pouch with me, and my backaches are bothering me too much.

After 1 year of research and consulting a few plastic surgeon, I decided to entrust this journey with Dr Terence Goh. A plastic surgeon that always think on your behalf, share with you the pros and cons of the surgery and also reminding me that there is no rush for the surgery. Compare to others who are pushy towards signing me up for the surgery by collecting deposit, Dr Goh and his team make sure I have all my scans in place, explaining to me the condition I’m suffering and also work closely with me to plan for my surgery date since I’m going to be out of action for a little while. I have also went down for a few reviews that we discussed about the areas of concern I have, and he constantly reminds me not to go excessive and managing my expectation.

As this is a partially aesthetic procedure, the medical fee was also my concern. Dr Goh fee is on par with the other top surgeon in Singapore, if not just a little more premium. However, compare to his superb skills (look at my wound and how well I recover) and the time and effort he put in, this is definitely one of my best investment ever.

I had my surgery in May and I had recovered 95% within 1 month. My backaches are gone ( at least I don’t have any now) and I have a flat tummy with a really nice wound that will fade in a few months. I love my new body! Thank you Dr Goh and the wonderful team of nurses!

Post Tummy Tuck

Just realised that my recovery for my tummy tuck were a lot faster than my other peers and i just went back to my exercise routing after 6 weeks. Uploading some of the post surgery pictures here and hope this help to manage your expectations.

Day 1 & 2, was by far the toughest. My boobs were so swollen, my tights felt so sore. I'm so glad that i took Dr Goh advise not to have my BBL done at the same time as my tummy tuck, if not, i will never to be able to sleep. The pain were really bad, I have some sleeping pill to help me relax and sleep but i kept waking up due to the pain

Day 3 & 4, I was able to walk around 20 - 30 steps and straighten my back a bit more, but the tummy was really tight and felt swollen... it was very numb though the wound was not hurting at all. I felt weak though, and felt swollen all over me and it does bring my mood down by a lot...Discharged at Day 4. Getting in and out of bed was a nightmare!

Day 5 & 6, Still struggling to get in and out of bed, very grateful to have a super attentive helper at home to assist me. Like what the rest highlighted here, get yourself some help, you really need it. Day 6, contacted this company theoutcallspa.com to come provide me some Lymphatic Drainage Massage at my home, (since i was not mobile enough to move around). IT IS A LIFE SAVER! The tension all over me disappear at least 30%, those area that i had my liposuction was still in pain, but no longer felt so swollen and hard, my boobs were so much softer now and doesn't feel like a 'rock'. The massage were very gentle, help to drain out the extra fluid ( i pee a lot after that), and i sleep much after.

Day 7 & 8, I'm much more flexible and able to move around faster and without much help. Went back for my follow up and Dr Goh said that I'm recovering well. I think all my hard work on pilates and yoga paid off, that surely contribute to my speedier recovery. Ah, the massage too! i had another Lymphatic Massage on Day 8, which now i can feel myself much better, the bruise on my body start to clear more and not as hard.

Day 9 &10, I managed to head out for a hair wash and i felt like heaven. Able to walk from the B1 carpark to lever 2 of the mall myself. Able to get in and out of the bed myself without help and able to put on the girdle without help too. The compression wear is crucial to have, i felt much better to have it on.... But when i go without, the fluid seems to build back up again and walking can hurt a little.

Day 11 & 12, Went for a 2 km walk and sweat like hell. Never in my life i sweat so much when I'm only at the 1km mark, and the second km was exhausting... But i did felt better after the walk and the body feels lighter. I can almost stand up straight already.( had another massage with the therapist from The Outcall Spa, it really helps! )

Day 13 & 14, Carrying things is still a little inconvenience , once i lift anything, i can sense the ache coming from my core muscle... so I strongly advise to avoid it. See my pictures, the pre and post body shape is soooooo obvious now.

Yes, the recovery wasn't painless, but its all worth it.

Just some tips to highlight:
- wear your compression wear
- get yourself Lymphatic Massage 2 to 3 times a week after 1 week pos surgery
- Start walking and moving around, it really helps with the recovery
- Avoid carrying heavy thing within the first 2 weeks
Post 7 weeks today and i'm glad i did it... Did i also mentioned I started wearing body hugging dresses out now and I'm looking gorgeous. The most important thing, my backache disappeared and I have a much better posture now!
