3 months PO

I’m a little over 3 months PO and feeling so good, very pleased with my results. My lower back pain due to Diastasis Recti has completely resolved (thank goodness). I’ve been working out for the past month now and feeling stronger and stronger with each passing day. There’s still a few abdominal exercises that I cannot do, still feel a bit of pulling and discomfort when I try to perform them.
Incision area and solar plexus still have no sensation, still have numbness, but that’s normal Dr Younai said it takes time for the nerves and lymphatic to regenerate and gain back sensation. I still get quite a bit of swelling below my incision/pubic area, makes me look like I have a FUPA (fat upper pubic area) I hope that goes down and it’s not permanently like that because it looks funny when I wear tight pants/leggings.
I’ve been using aloe vera and cocoa butter on my scar, day and night. And I’ll give my scar a massage at night while laying in bed. It helps with the scar tissue. I’m so happy to be able to do more activities without the back pain and of course so glad to not have a muffin top anymore. Hope this has helped some of you, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Hope you’re all doing well. Thanks for reading my update.

6 weeks post op

I'm officially 6 weeks PO and happy to say that I'm feeling pretty good. I have minimal swelling which usually happens in the evenings and always seems to be above and below my scar. My posture is so much better (about 95% of the way), I seem to get a bit more stiff in the evenings due to the swelling. I'm still wearing compression garments because it helps with swelling and my posture, probably will wear it until I'm 8 weeks PO. I still have a little bit of bruising along my scar which seems to be healing very well, to help the healing process I use sábila aka Aloe Vera and I'll do a fingertip massage as I'm applying it to and around my scar. Dr. Younai did such a great job, I would totally recommend him. I am completely happy with my decision. Please if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Xoxo!

2 weeks PO

Two weeks PO and finally feeling a little like myself. Woohoo!! Even decided to head to town for a family lunch date today.
Earlier this week (Tuesday) I had my second follow up appointment with Dr. Younai, got both my drains out and said everything is healing nicely. Steri Strips are slowly peeling off, but Dr. gave me permission to put some Vaseline on it in two weeks to completely peel them off and recommended I use 100% Aloe Vera gel to help my incision/scar heal. He also said that after 4 weeks I can wear my compression garment durning the day and give myself a rest at night. Next follow up appointment is in 6 weeks.
My posture is not 100% yet, but getting really close (about 80% of the way). Still have to sleep with two pillows under my head and one under my knees and occasionally I'll sleep on my side. If I do too much during the day, come evening I'm starting to swell/bloat. Elevating my feet and drinking pineapple juice helps my swelling go down. Also I found a compression garment on Amazon that I really like (picture posted). It comes in three parts, belly, waist, and pelvis belt. I'll wear all three during the day and at night I'll wear the waist and pelvis belt. And it’s best to use a undershirt with it.
Happy weekend to you and thanks for reading my story.
