I am scheduled for a tummy tuck on 8/30/2021

I am 33 year old married woman with 4 kids! It's finally happening. I had my pre-op yesterday (8/16/2021). I am scheduled for a tummy tuck on 8/30/2021. I am slowly starting to feel a little more anxious. I can't believe I am doing this! I have stalked RS for about 6 years. I previously had a consultation in 2015, right after I had my twins in 2014. Needless to say, I wasn't ready. However; with Covid-19 going on, I decided that now is the perfect opportunity. I had my most recent consultation on 7/20/2021. I booked my appointment later that day.

In my consultation, I informed Dr. Vath that I was interested in a tummy tuck and a breast lift. After talking it over with my husband, we decided that I will just get a tummy tuck. I initially also requested liposuction, but after Dr. Vath looked at me, he stated that liposuction was not needed on me! I was happy about that!

Now fast forward to August 16, 2021. I met with the RN who checked my vitals and my weight. We went over the prescriptions and the herbal vitamins that I take every day. She informed me that since we were two weeks out to discontinue the vitamins that I was taking. Also, because my BMI was high and I have diabetes 2, they decided that I should start taking blood thinners a week before the procedure. I was a little discouraged when I heard that however I know that the RN and Dr. Vath have my best interest. I thought they would take blood work but they didn't. I left the Pre - OP feeling kinda nonchalant. I am guessing that I am at peace with my decision which is why I'm not freaking out. We will see as time goes on! My goal is to post before pics soon!
