Despite Everything I Would Still Rate the Dr and Outcome of the Proceedure As 5 Stars.

I had a tummy tuck in October 2022. I received quote from dr office and prepaid the non refundable down payment. What the don’t tell you is that you need imaging and bloodwork done a maximum of 1 month prior to surgery which they do not do and is not included in the fee. This added on a little more than 1000 to the cost. I booked the hotel thinking that since they only paid for 2 night, I’d need to book the other nights. HOWEVER, the office will handle the booking for you and they will get a pretty good discount on the room for the nights you want to stay. I originally only booked 3 nites but I would recommend a week. I ended up staying 5 nights but couldn't extend any longer than that because the hotel was full. It was very difficult changing hotels as the pain was excruciating. as a side note—- I spoke to a guy that was in the office for followup a week after his surgery and he said the pain wasn't too bad after the first few days. But he said he had a high tolerance for pain. He didn't look like he was in pain at the office visit. So your pain may not be as great as mine. I should have taken rx and alternated it with tylenol. I did have lymphatic massage done for 3 weeks and I would highly recommend it. The office waits are long, the office was full when I was there. Its a very small office and I believe there were 5 patients and 4 caregivers. There wasn’t room for everyone to sit. My appt was about 45min late prepare to wait… On surgery day, my wife dropped me off (they didn't allow her to stay) and the nurse would bring me back to the hotel. We had some miscommunication so I didn't have the laundry list of supplies necessary for after surgery so my wife was having a mini melt down. The nurse was on the phone with her and talked for quite a while and helped to calm her down. She was able to run around and pick up everything I needed however there is very little around the dr’s surgical suite so It would have been much better to have a heads up. SIDE NOTE.. after I scheduled surgery they did add the after surgery check list to their website but I had no clue. My surgery was quite delayed as the doctor was running behind but they did have me text my wife just before heading into surgery so she didn't worry. After surgery I was rushed out of recovery. I awoke to the girls dressing me and I wasn't even fully awake when they wheeled me out. This was probably because of the late hour for surgery… I highly recommend a morning appt if you can get one. Once at the hotel the hotel couldn’t find a wheelchair so that was another cluster… the hotel was convenient as it was walking distance from the grocery store and the lobby bar had soup on the menu. The nurse that came for after care was nice. But it’s not really a RN that they send for after care, I believe its just a aid. She does report to a RN though and she was always able to reach the nurse. I did have some fluid build up on my back a few days after surgery (I also had lipo and jplasma on my back) that the dr had to remove. The dr indicated that the lymph massage person wasn't the best. I would recommend selecting the one the office recommends even though its a little pricy. The first few days I told my wife that if I knew how much pain I’d be in, I would NEVER have had the tummy tuck done! It is now over 5 months since my proceedure and I loves the results and I have to say they are pretty amazing. If anyone was going to have a tummy tuck done, I would 100% recommend Dr. Askari despite all the negatives. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I can say that I had a friend that got a tummy tuck by a different doctor and the results are day and night.
