My Dream Desire

WORTH IT
For over 12 years I've desired to have a tummy tuck. Since my last pregnancy ( mother of two) I knew I wanted this done. I fantasized what my belly would look like if it was only flatter and if I didn't have that extra skin. And know I tried everything I could on my end. I eat clean and started working out like crazy. I trained for marathons, metric bike rides and was at the gym weightlifting 5X a week but even then, my tummy looked the same.
Late last year I said enough- this pooch is going so I invested my time and energy into making my dream come true!
I did so much online research and started talking to my family and my close friends about it. Finding the right Dr. for you is a challenge and takes time. I honestly spent four months if not more doing research, making consultations etc. But the wait time was well worth it because I found the right Dr for me.
Before going in for the consultation, I felt as if I already knew him. This may sound crazy but I even paid my deposit fee and scheduled "my surgery date" before even meeting him in person!
And when I did meet him in person it was everything I expected and more. He made me feel so comfortable (again I felt like I already knew him and was catching up with a long lost friend) and explained everything to the T in such a relaxed manner. I definitely didn't feel or got this experience from the three other docs I had seen before.
I am 100% satisfied with the Dr I chose and the staff. They make you feel like family.
I wish that anyone else going through this process has the same experience when choosing their Dr.

Do not settle for less and do you! :)

Five weeks and stilll swollen!

srodri
Hi everyone,
This is my fifth week and I still have some stubborn swelling that just won't go away :(
More specifically, right under my belly button. I've worn my binder religiously since my surgery but still can't get rid of this swelling.
Is anyone else experiencing/experienced swelling right under the BB?

Thank you for replying. Are you still wearing your binder? I didn't wear mine for today and didn't notice much difference in swelling. Might opt out of wearing it.

7th Week!

srodri
Hi everyone,
It's been seven weeks and finally back in the gym! I am starting out slow and modify certain workouts, bending still feels a little weird. Overall, the swelling is getting better and I am so happy to be back at the gym!

Thank you, I appreciate it! It definitely takes time-be patient. I am 8 weeks post OP and still have some swelling under belly button. However, every week I make progress...best of luck to you!
