6 weeks post op

Today I am 6 weeks post office and I’m feeling very good all in all . I have been back to work for 2 weeks now and am doing everything I would normally be doing minus lifting anything heavy . I am still numb topically on my entire stomach and I hate that feeling . I am still not very comfortable wearing jeans , my hips are a little tender, so yoga pants are still my go to . I am having to go per more frequently and my back has been bothering so I will be talking to my dr about those things today. He will be doing my after pics today so as soon as I get the before and after I will be posting them .

Long over Due Tummy Tuck

I am 36 years old and have two boys the oldest being 12. I had both of them C- Section. I have always hated my stomach so much but never could pull the trigger. I found out about stainless tummy tucks and decided to take the plunge. There are no drs near me that do Drainless so I ended up scheduling an hour and a half away from my house
I went for my consultation and I just loved Dr. Liu and his bedside manner. I put my deposit down and scheduled my surgery right then. I knew he was the one I wanted to go with. He told me that I would be able to be back at work in 3 to 4 weeks and I was hoping he was right but deep down kind of thought he was crazy.
Day of surgery
I actually was less scared than I thought I would be. I got there an hour before my surgery and they got me all prepped and ready to go back. I feel like I was pretty calm until I got into the OR. Once in the OR I think all of their feelings and fear hit me and Dr. Liu was very comforting. Then I fell asleep. The next thing I remember is sitting up on the side of the bed and my husband helping me get dressed in recovery. I did get nauseous even though I had nausea medication and a patch. I definitely feel like I was not ready to leave the hospital just yet but they sent me out anyways. I was still super groggy and nauseous. I slept my whole drive home and really came to once I was home which was about two hours later. I did not have any pain once I got home I was completely numb I just felt really tight and that is probably because of the binder I had on. Day one after surgery went pretty smooth I had no pain whatsoever but I did just stay on top of my pain meds and Tylenol. He did use some type of numbing block in my stomach that lasted for three days. I slept in the recliner the first 2 1/2 weeks.
Day 2-4
My recovery went great on day two through four. I definitely could not get up out of the recliner on my own somebody had to help me. I walked very slow but I was walking pretty much upright by Day4. I didn’t really look at my surgery just yet because it kind of creeped me out my stomach looked a little mutilated to me but I could tell in my compression garment that my stomach was completely flat. I definitely had to have somebody at home to help me the first week.
Day 5-10
I still am sleeping in the recliner at this point and I can get up on my own but it’s still a little hard. Still, no pain just taking Tylenol here and there. I can tell if I use my stomach muscles too much because I can feel burning but other than that I feel very good. So far my results look great. It’s hard to not pick things apart at this point but I am still swollen.
4 weeks post-surgery
I am four weeks post-surgery today and I am doing amazing I am back to work and actually going camping today. I cannot believe how smooth and how quickly I recovered from all of this. I never thought that I would feel any pain from the surgery considering it is such a huge surgery. I am so glad I did this. I am super happy with my results and I know I will be more happy as I heal more. I am so glad I went with the drainless tummy tuck versus the other way. I couldn’t imagine walking around having drains.
I will post my pictures when I get them at my six-week appointment.

9 Day Countdown

I have 9 days until the big day . I have been so excited to have this done after having two babies and two C sections . I picked up all my prescriptions today and take my covid test tomorrow. The nerves are finally setting in. Dr Liu made me feel very comfortable about the procedure but it is still a little scary . He told me that the procedure will take 3 1/2 hours . I will continue to post until this journey is complete .
