Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction

As soon as I met Mr Winterton, I instinctively knew he was the surgeon I wanted to perform my surgery. I had met and had consultations with three other surgeons, and in fact booked my surgery elsewhere. However, I just had this feeling I hadn't found the right surgeon yet, until I thankfully and finally found Mr Winterton. I found Rob through word of mouth via three separate friends/friends of friends and this inspired me to go ahead and book yet another consultation, as all of these people spoke so so highly of him! It was of the utmost importance to me that I felt 100% assured that it was going to be performed to the best standard, and just as important to be assured by the after care too!
Mr Winterton's explanation of the surgery along with his sound and realistic expectations of the outcome from the type of surgery I wished to go ahead with, were very clear and easily understood. He even did some hand drawings to assist his explanations and ease the understanding and to ensure I also was realistic with my own expectations. He actively listened to all my concerns and wishes. I didn't ever feel rushed or pushed in any direction. With Mr Rob Winterton EVERYTHING just felt perfect, the location of the hospital, his team and he just has a way of putting you at ease with his very approachable, friendly, kind and caring manner. He is very knowledgeable, very experienced and extremely professional, very helpful and supportive.
The hospital care was amazing from the moment I was greeted in the reception area to the nurses on the ward and the physio team again very kind, helpful and professional. Rob came to see me on the ward prior to the surgery and again he put me at ease as did his anaesthetist. Any of Mr Winterton's team I was lucky enough to meet, were just amazing, their professionalism and their skills at putting me at ease. I was completely relaxed, felt cared for and felt assured that I was in very capable and very experienced hands. The surgery went really well and I feel the results are outstanding, so much better than my expectations. There are times when you do just have to trust the process of healing and the time scales given. Mr Winterton and his team absolutely know what they are doing! Mr Winterton's knowledge and expertise has allowed me to feel proud of my body again after having four large babies and then going through menopause which brought even more body changes. I now truly feel fantastic. I can't remember the last time I felt like this about myself, but it is probably when I was in my twenties and I am currently about to hit fifty! I didn't think it was possible! I feel Rob has given me a part of my life back that I thought was long gone in my opinion ,completely changing my self body image. I hated everything about my body before the surgery. I felt I had to dress to hide myself, with very loosely fitted long tops to hide my tummy. I didn't even like getting undressed in front of my own husband, even though we have together for over twenty years. I hated going on holiday, I certainly couldn't wear a bikini, I felt I could only wear a loose fitted tankini so that my tummy wasn't as obvious. Not to mention the pain I was suffering with in my neck, shoulders and back from my heavy breasts. Again I couldn't wear the clothes that I wanted to, due to the size of my breasts. The bras I had to wear, just seemed ugly to me due to the extra thick straps.
The pulling of these thick straps on my shoulders caused damage to my bone structure and I required various surgery procedures on my shoulder. which included having bone removed. I had just been referred for even more bone removal off my collar bone caused by the constant weight bearing down on the bra strap! I also had constant indentations where the bra straps pulled down on my shoulders which caused neurological issues such as constant tingling down my neck and spine. In the warmer months of the year I would get quite sore skin from sweating under the boob area too. This surgery has changed my life in so many ways. I no longer have any shoulder, neck and back pain. Genuinely it has completely gone. I had been suffering for years! My tummy is flat, I no longer have a huge tummy bulge from having four babies and two of them c-sections. I can now wear a simple t-shirt, even a tight fitted t-shirt. I was definitely in my twenties when I could happily wear a tight fitted t-shirt. No longer any need to wear long oversized tops to hide away in. This procedure was life changing! I haven't been on holiday yet but I can't wait to go and wear a bikini! It has improved my mental health and self love dramatically. I am enjoying living in my own body again. It has been almost twenty years of hating my own body, so I can't thank Rob and his whole team enough! I just wish I'd done it sooner and not suffered with this self hatred and pain for so long!
I do also need to mention the after care. After surgery I feel the team and especially Mr Winterton went above and beyond. During the first couple of weeks I feel I had lots of queries and worries which I needn't have had, however, Mr Winterton always offered assurance, he even offered to see me for my self assurance even though it was his day off and in fact he was actually going on holiday that very day, he offered this to make sure my mind could be put at ease. As I said prior ''above and beyond'' I felt truly cared for! All the team at some point have really helped me, Alison, Mr Winterton's nurse, again has gone above and beyond with her kindness, help and support, and Vicki the practice manager is helpful and so lovely too! They are all such a supportive, caring team!
I can honestly say I would not need to look elsewhere if I was to consider any other surgery. If you are considering surgery I would urge you to look no further. Mr Rob Winterton in my opinion is the best surgeon out there, hands down. From consultation, through to the amazing surgery, through to the outstanding after care. 5 star throughout from start to finish! The whole process for me can only be described as incredible! I am so extremely happy with what Mr Winterton has achieved with my body and it is worth every single penny! My only regret is not getting it done sooner! I can't thank Rob enough!! Thank you so so much Mr Rob Winterton!!
