Beware of Terrible Outcomes

I went to Dr. Hovsepian for a tummy tuck, muscle repair, hernia repair and liposuction. I ended up with not one, but several complications and a terrible outcome. After I felt uncomfortable with his post operative treatment, I sought out a second opinion. I wish I had done so sooner! When he learned that I went to a wound clinic, Dr. Raffi called and yelled at me for getting a second opinion and for involving my PCP and the wound clinic in managing my health. I had developed what is called necrosis, which he denied and continues to deny. I'm not sure why he was so hesitant to administer appropriate wound treatment which made me question his clinical judgement. I trusted him with my health and at this point, I'm just glad I made it out of the OR. He was not personable and made my recovery problematic, difficult and stressful. I felt very uncomfortable to see him after he called and yelled at me.

My tummy tuck scar is very high - one side goes over my hip! Yes, over!! In my first consultation with him he kept reiterating how his tummy tuck scars are always kept low so that it can be hidden easily with a bikini. Well , that definitely did not happen!!

I'm currently a little over 6wpo, the office told me they won't see me unless I sign some forms during my last visit. This whole experience has been a nightmare.
