I didn’t have a great experience. He was one of the most expensive and seemed to be well regarded so I thought I was getting the best. I travelled 8 hours to have him do my surgery. He was also one of the few that work with a Urogynocoligist.
In the end my belly button is too high, flat, points up. Appears to be pulled up ( improper hole location I’d guess). He didn’t close the muscle at my umbilical hernia, just the fascia so there is still a bump. The scar is asymmetrical and higher than my swimwear on one side. What really bothers me is my belly button and hernia. After the procedure I brought my concerns to his attention and I felt like he just blew me off. For $16000 I expected better. I was willing to pay to fix it but he simply said “some people would be happy with it”. We are moving shortly out of province but I’m hoping I’ll find a better surgeon that can fix it… or at least not make me feel so unimportant and insignificant.
