Not having a great day. I think I pushed myself yesterday cause I woke up feeling great! I went to the doc and they pulled a drain. ..it hurt A LOT by the way. But drainage from the hole afterward was minimal even though the area stayed pretty sore.
So then I thought I could pick up the kid from school, and go to the library, and pick up the house a bit and. ...yeah, it was too much.
So I slept badly and don't feel great today and I'm really paranoid about the swelling on my left side. It's definitely large and painful and asymmetrical. I forgot to ask about it yesterday so I emailed the nurse about it today. I don't want to have complications! Or a revision. And I want to feel better now.
So then I thought I could pick up the kid from school, and go to the library, and pick up the house a bit and. ...yeah, it was too much.

Had a follow up appointment yesterday and everything looks good! Hematoma getting smaller so only a slight chance of it needing aspirated later on. Drains are putting out so little I should get to lose one when I go back tomorrow! They changed the dressing and I'm really impressed with how good my incision looks. Numbing meds are out of the system so it's more tender on the sides but totally tolerable. Best part is I can stand as straight as I can tolerate and sleep in my own bed! I had the best nights sleep and feel fabulous today.
Watching a lot of tv...binging ER season 8 aND Gilmore girls haha. Trying to be productive but it's hard when you're not supposed to lift anything. I should have had more stretchy type pants and maybe I would be more willing to leave the house and walk around outside. But I'm enjoying being lazy while my mom is here to watch the kid. Swelling is better today too!

Today is day 5 and I'm really down on the pain meds. Started cutting them in half and taking 2 or 3 a day. Sore and stiff but seriously not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I would much rather do this again then take my tonsils out again!
Definitely a hematoma on my left side. Moved up the next post op visit to tomorrow so they can check it out in person. I was emailing pics today to the doc. I don't feel that great. ..no pain, but blah and bored and lightheaded even though I'm getting up every couple hours. Cold and hot, can't regulate my temp. Maybe blood loss?
Oh I finally pooped haha. Had to use a suppository but whatever works.
I really think my results will be good though. Totally worth it so far!
