I have hated my "bags" or deep tear troughs for years and years. Thinking back, I have probably spent $1000s on eye creams, masks, serums, etc. over the last decade trying to combat my tired eyes. It is genetic and runs in my family and my Mom finally went to get hers looked at a by a plastic surgeon about 2 years ago and was told that she's well beyond the time when injectables would be an option. I'm still trying to convince her to go for the surgery.
My motivation for doing this now stems from my lack of patients for it now, and just how much worse it has gotten in the last couple of years. I'm in an intense medical program at the moment, and it's definitely added some milage. I plan to continue to get treatments done in hopes I can avoid the point that my Mom has reached.
I had slight bruising over the next 3-4 days, as was expected, but nothing that makeup could not cover up. I masked the swelling by just wearing my glasses throughout the day, and my husband didn't suspect a thing. In reality, I would prefer a product without lidocaine to reduce the bruising next time, since I had almost no pain at all.

I felt incredibly nervous until Dr. Barankin walked into the room. He was very kind and although the appointment was brief, I did not feel rushed. He was very realistic in explaining what I should expect from the procedure and he is obviously skilled because I barely felt a thing. I look forward to returning to his office.
