Consultation review: The Lady Wasn’t Very Knowledgeable/sort of Rude

ORIGINAL POST

The Lady Wasn’t Very Knowledgeable/sort of Rude

I just want to start by saying this isn’t about Martin, it’s one of the other people at his office... I never actually got her name which I’ll explain in the review.
I went in for a consultation and was greeted by one of the girls at the front desk, I filled out all the paperwork and while sitting there filling it out, the echoes of either a client or one of the people who work there were talking loud and you could hear some cussing too so they closed that door to block out that conversation. I was offered water & to sign up for the loyalty rewards. Then I was brought into the room to talk to someone about the work I wanted to get done, I was expecting it to be Dr. Jugenburg but instead it was an Asian lady, never ended up getting her name either the entire time, she also didn’t have a name tag or anything and only after I had left I realized I didn’t even know what her name was. I held up a mirror and told her what my concerns were and wanted to see what she suggested as I’ve never had any type of Botox/filler or any cosmetic surgeries done before. For the deep wrinkles I had when I raised my brows she suggested Botox and then in my “number 11s” (the two lines between your brows when you frown” she also suggested Botox... I told her the one thing I didn’t want is to be completely expression less, she told me for my forehead I’d get 6-7 units and in between my brows, 30 units. Then under my eyes I have a couple fine lines and she suggested 1-2 units of Botox under my eyes (I’ve done my researched and have never heard of Botox going directly under your eyes - just below your lashes). The entire time when i asked questions, she seemed to give me the “hum and haw” and never really give me a direct answer. To me, that shows not enough knowledge in the field which is unsettling. She was then quick to hand me over the waiver which while skimming over I see the first couple lines are about “the doctor has told me the possible side effects and warnings of Botox” and I quickly said “we haven’t even gone over that yet?” And then I said “and this seems to be the waiver where I’m getting the procedure done now and I was only in for a consultation” to which she basically said “well then no need to sign that then, anymore questions?” As she was walking to the door to open it up and let us out. She walked out as we kind of followed her and then she just said “call us when you want to make an appointment” and continued with the next person.

To me, i think I’d feel more comfortable with Dr. Jugenburg, as that’s who I wanted to originally see, but I ended up getting someone, who to me, isn’t educated enough and I wouldn’t trust putting any needles in my face when they couldn’t answer any of my questions & didn’t even go over what the basics of the waiver states.

I was super excited to meet Dr. Jugenburg, but, this kind of just left me not comfortable.

That's weird , I thought Kim did consultations. who isn't an " Asian woman " and its very strange that you , yourself didn't get anyone's name before booking a consultation.
It was SUPPOSE to be a consultation only, but if you read the full thing, the lady handed me the waiver to get the procedure done so I was under the impression that 1) it was suppose to be Martin doing my consultation & procedure had I chosen to do it right then and there. And 2) only after talking to her and handing me a waiver, did I realize she was going to do the treatment. Would love to hear back from THEM on what happened... not from a random commenter but thanks anyways.
How is it that you have NO IDEA what her name was ? And he makes it VERY clear that Nurse Kim does the initial consultation lol so yeah I’d like some proof here
First of all, I don’t owe you anything because you don’t work there. Understand that. Grasp that.
Second of all, I don’t even know why you’re so mad that I had a bad experience? I don’t even care this much.
@itsAmyre
To be fair, FYI previously on Dr6 website, it stated that "the private confidential consultation was with Dr 6". No where did it cite, Nurse Kim did the initial consult. I followed him for a,while on IG, when he mentioned Kim did it and some patient was upset it wasn't him. But at that time, l checked his website, it did say Dr 6 did the consult on his, website. I was confused. Up until a,couple of months, ago it was thete.

Even now they up dated the website, on one consultation form link, it still states "for the consult fee you get a private confidential consultationl w him "on the bottom after you fill out your info. On other consult web form, it just, says "with us", but it's there. I was tempted to email them to let them know but was afraid in case l do decide to go to him, l might get blackmailed. Paranoid, l know.
So if she only researched website not IG, it is possible she didn't know. And it is good for ppl who don't follow IG.
I'm sure since he's gotten very popular and does 5 to 7 sx a day, he doesn't have, time to do initial consults anymore. Understandably.

Sorry for a,bad experience. But it is,helpful for ppl like me who are on the fence about him and would, have to travel far to consult w him.
On IG he looks like he's caring and his, clinic up to par. But now days bc of his success he says doesn't do consultations , Kim does.
Though HIS WEBSITE it STILL states that consults are, with the Doctor. So if I didn't go on IG, l would have gone, there and been disappointed and felt mislead.
So l appreciate your review.
Also it should be the etiquette of the clinic to introduce themselves to you
I was under the impression from his website it was going to be from him too... I would’ve felt a lot more comfortable. I’m sure HE does amazing work, but whoever did my consultation was about to also administer the Botox in my face right after I finished signing, had I not questioned why I’m signing a waiver for a consultation.

I’ve yet to fine a clinic I feel comfortable with. Despite this being a very “lunch time” procedure, it’s still important to myself to find someone who understands my goal & aesthetic. A lot of doctors want to administer so many units to freeze my face but I still want some mobility. Good luck on your adventure!
