I’m a mom of 4 and after researching I decided to a tummy tuck and Lipo with BBL in Mexico. While I don’t regret having the surgery, and I feel that I had reasonable expectations, I am very disappointed with the finesse work of my outcome. The area above my incision looks pretty good, however the incision itself as well as my pubic area (which I made clear needed to be addressed to avoid bulging) I am very disappointed with. I have an area at the left corner of the pubic area that has puckering and pleating and the manner in which my incision has healed it will require revision. The method for reattaching my belly button was also disappointing, and has already been revised. The incision was attached at the edges at the surface of my stomach and it would have healed in a very unnatural looking way. As for the Lipo and BBL, I don’t know how much was really done. It was pointed out that the level of abdominal undermining was probably not very aggressive and I don’t think anything was done with my pubic area. I was very careful with putting any pressure on my rear end and had a lot of added pain due to positioning limitations and quite honestly I see absolutely no difference. It was so subtle and didn’t address the areas I was concerned with.
Also, pain management while down in Mexico was rough. More powerful pain meds should have been prescribed and made available. The long acting anesthesia I was told would be used didn’t work.
Bottom line, I tried to save a buck and paid for it. That is my fault. I would not recommend this doctor as his finesse was lacking. My sutures were not done evenly and it has effected how my incision has healed, the belly button issue, and the pain management were a real issue for me.

Dr was nice, and levelset my expectations due to my weight. What I do feel was a bit misleading is he is not an American Board of Plastic and Reconstruction surgery certified. He is licensed in California as a medical doctor but I can’t find what specialty, and it isn’t in Plastic Surgery. That was again, my fault for not doing better homework. After I came home, I had some questions after seeing my local surgeon for follow up care and he didn’t even call me back himself. He also aight unseen said when my sutures and drain could be removed based only on dates, and this is concerning to me since he didn’t even see me. I want thrilled with the care and most certainly the aftercare has been non-existent. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Quiroz.
