Also, pain management while down in Mexico was rough. More powerful pain meds should have been prescribed and made available. The long acting anesthesia I was told would be used didn’t work.
Bottom line, I tried to save a buck and paid for it. That is my fault. I would not recommend this doctor as his finesse was lacking. My sutures were not done evenly and it has effected how my incision has healed, the belly button issue, and the pain management were a real issue for me.
Provider Review
Dr was nice, and levelset my expectations due to my weight. What I do feel was a bit misleading is he is not an American Board of Plastic and Reconstruction surgery certified. He is licensed in California as a medical doctor but I can’t find what specialty, and it isn’t in Plastic Surgery. That was again, my fault for not doing better homework. After I came home, I had some questions after seeing my local surgeon for follow up care and he didn’t even call me back himself. He also aight unseen said when my sutures and drain could be removed based only on dates, and this is concerning to me since he didn’t even see me. I want thrilled with the care and most certainly the aftercare has been non-existent. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Quiroz.
