So a little about me..
I am a mom of 2 kiddos, a 5 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. I gained 55 lbs with both pregnancies. Lets just say the kids did a number on my body! I have talked about having a mommy makeover since my first child was born, but in July, I decided to make it a reality. After talking to my husband about it we decided it would be well worth the money and I called and set a date. So in less then a month I go in for a TT and BA. I am a very anxious person to start with and now with surgery on my mind I am beyond anxious!! However I am so so so excited. So that is the short of it. My pre-op is Dec 11.

Exciting times! Maybe gathering supplies will help calm your nerves. I'm glad you're able to do this for yourself. Do you have people to help with the kids while you're recovering?

That's for the list! Yes I have my mom, sister, and niece helping for at least 2 weeks. And my husband will be off of work here and there so that will help a lot!

I am 12 days PO, and the very best advice I could give you is to go buy a shower chair. My first shower nearly killed me, then my sweet mom brought me her shower chair she got when she had back surgery. Community Manager Kimmers has a list out here for your first post op shower. Her list should be the law in all 50 states. And grab an extra pillow for on top of your tummy when you are in a recliner or in bed. My cats wanted to show me they loved me and tried walking and napping across my tummy. I have read out here that dogs and kids do that too. Good luck!

Congrats! And thanks for the advice, I just asked my cousin if I could borrow hers! I didn't even think about the pillow on my tummy. My daughter will my biggest concern, she is probably as bad as your cat. haha

Well I can't believe I am putting pictures of the one thing I try so hard to cover, my stomach! But it doesn't look too bad until I sit down and then it just rolls onto my lap.

Pre-op day!

Today I had my pre-op appointment. For some reason I was super nervous. My husband went with me, he didn't get to come to the consultation. My surgeon is a little over an hour away from home, so we left early to have one last "date" and finish off Christmas shopping. I thought this would help me take my mind off of my nerves, but it didn't!

We got to the office and ended up waiting an hour to see the Dr., due to surgery delays. Once we made it into a room and I got to talk to the nurse, and started to calm down. The Dr. came in and reviewed the plan.

Breast augmentation with 350 to 400 cc. He will make the final decision in surgery. I told him I don't want to be too large, however I am scared I will regret going to small. He then talked about the tummy tuck and the placement of the scar. He said it will be under my underwear line. He will also do lipo of the flanks.

The nurse called in my Rx, which are be an antibiotic, a muscle relaxer, pain med, and a sleep pill. All to be taken after surgery and need to be brought with me on surgery day, due to staying over night. He also gave me a Rx for a wash to help with a rash I have on my chest.

After we talked and reviewed what to expect we went and paid (no backing out now, haha) and received orders for lab work. We then left the office and had lab work done. Then headed to the surgery center and pre register.

So there you have it surgery is set for next Thursday!! I arrive at the center at 8:30am, surgery is scheduled for 9:30 and if all goes as planned should be out by 1. My husband will be able to see me around 3pm. I will spend the night and then head home Friday.

So all in all I'm stoked, excited, but overall nervous as s@#*

I was in your boat exactly a week ago... And I was a nervous wreck! I had feelings of guilt, second guessing myself, anxiety and fear if dying.... All 100% normal feelings. But let me tell you; I'm post op day 3 and while there is pain and discomfort, I am SO happy I've done this! You will be too!!! I'm excited for you!
