UPDATE 6 weeks
$600
It's been over 6 weeks and I can say that it is not REALLY worth it. I had my follow up today and they showed me my initial profile and the photo they took of me today. I saw a SLIGHT difference, but i feel that I could have easily had those results if I stopped being lazy and lost 10 pounds. I had a tiny pudge under my chin that was maybe the size of a thumb and now its no longer there. I mean, it was only $600 (at least I didn't pay over 1K). The nurse suggested that I could get another dose if I wanted, but said I look fine the way I am now. I guess I'm not disappointed but i would have used that money on botox for the massateer instead.

I just came back from vacation and I am back to looking the same as I did prior to kybella. I'm hoping I lose my double chin though because otherwise I spent $600 for nothing :( ... One thing I noticed though is my chin from the front looks somewhat more defined, maybe I'm imagining it but the picture where I'm in orange is me two days ago where my I felt my double chin was invisible from the front. Definitely not from the side thoughZ before you could see my double chin from the front so maybe it is starting to work.

Did they not tell you that most patients will need more than one treatment?

I had it done almost 2 weeks ago and I am still swollen. I was told to expect the swelling for about 4 weeks and then it will continue to improve for some time after that. I was also told depending on your starting point, you may need more than one treatment.

I disagree, I see a distinct improvement. You look much better. I've heard that, it's common to require more than one treatment.

I went yesterday for a consultation to see if kybella was right for me. Since I'm severely impatient, I decided, "sure! I'll get it done today." Granted, I didn't do too much research on healing time. The nurse said the swelling will go down in 24-48 hours.
She administered the shots and I can honestly say, they were not painful. Towards the end though, I felt a burning sensation that I had to tell her to stop for a few seconds. Then she continued and I was in mild discomfort for a few minutes. They provided me With ice packs and I didn't feel pain afterwards. I was a little swollen after leaving the Drs office but I didn't think it was noticeable, I went to work right after!
I'm reading more reviews on here and there seems to be a miscommunication between the patient and administrators of kybella. It's been 24 hours and I'm still swollen... More so than yesterday. I look like a frog. I'm actual headed out of town today with my boyfriend and I didn't plan on telling him about my treatment. I hope he doesn't notice my chin fat has seemed to triple! I'll update with pictures in 3 days. I doubt the swelling will go down though from other reviews I've read :/
You can't tell from the front, but from the side it looks extremely bad.

It's been over a month for me and my double chin is worse than before getting the injections. I'll be honest...I would never advise having it done.

Yes, it truly takes me 8 weeks to just get back to base line. I thought it was only me (as I started Kybella early 2016).
Personally, I don't see results until after 3 or 4 months (each treatment). But then I do see small results. Like a sliver less each go around.
I did have Lymphatic massage after my third Kybella treatment, and then it was about 8 weeks after the third treatment- and a week later I looked pretty good! You might try having a lymphatic massage.

Yes, I would say there is miscommunication. Swelling is normal and may last a week. Similarly, you may have bruising that shows up later.
Wearing a chin support garment, similar to a snooring garment helps tremendously with the swelling and discomfort.

I had that done . It swelled my face up so bad . I got stretch marks in the sides of my chin. A waste of time and money. It made my neck wrinkle up bad. It left fatty in my lower neck. I did not like what it did. I would never advise this to anyone. The pain was ok. The shots wasnt too much. Like a bee sting but it didnt last long. But the whole thig was not what i thought. Grrrrrrr
