Finally got my smile back
WORTH IT$6,000
One thing I didn't expect after surgery was losing my smile. My columella was so stiff that it was almost painful to smile and when I did, my top teeth were barely shown. My surgeon told me it could take months for it to return to normal but for me it only took 1! I'm so happy! Me being a goofy person, it was hard for me to resist smiling and laughing... Almost impossible .

Removal of stitches and internal splints...sigh...
How could I forget to mention that appointment!?!?! All I can say is oh my gosh. That was the most pain that I've felt throughout this journey thus far!!!!!!! I had internal splints/tubes stabilizing my septum that were HUGE (YouTube septoplasty splint removal and you will feel my pain). It felt like he was pulling a car out of my nose. I was not expecting that. The stitches were less painful to remove, but it was extremely uncomfortable to say the least. I didn't feel the stitches in the columella being removed but with the alar base and internal stitches, I did. Despite all of the pain, it felt sooooooooooo good to have all of that removed. I was able to breath and taste food again. Sometimes I actually feel like I'm breathing in TOO much air. That deviated septum had me missing out on greatness lol. Ok I have studying to do! Grad school for Speech Pathology is very demanding!
