WORTH IT
I did not like the long distance I had between my cupids bow and my nose i.e. 21cms. This looked very ageing and unattractive. I had no tooth show when my mouth was at rest, and very little tooth show when smiling. I realized the only solution was to have a bullhorn lip lift to achieve the results that I wanted, I did ALLOT of research over the last 12mths and approached quite a few surgeons . I realized this procedure is not very common and I needed to feel 100% confident with the surgeon I chose. After a few consultations with Mr. Andrea Marando I new he was the surgeon I could trust to give me the best results I could hope for, Needless to say he did just that. I could not be any more happier. I love my results.
I went to Andrea and explained to him I wanted to achieve 4/5mm tooth show when my mouth is at rest, and lots of tooth show when I smile . I am so thrilled to say Andrea did just that, He is not only one of the best surgeons in the world he is probably one of the most caring and considerate person you could meet.
I would trust Mr. Andrea Marando with any other cosmetic procedure I may have in the future.

I'm so pleased you found a good surgeon to do your lip lift, not many do it in UK I have found. Could I ask how much you paid?

Hi Kathryn, Dr Marando charges £3000 for the lip lift procedure. his price was more expensive than some other surgeons, but I have to say I strongly felt that it was worth paying that bit more to get the best results. after all this was my face and I dreaded anything going wrong. I can only tell you he was the only surgeon I felt confident with to achieve exactly the result I wanted. If this can be of any help to you I myself have had other procedures done in the past and I chose surgeons mainly on price, (i.e. less expensive) but I have learned you get what you pay for. I can honestly say I would not go to any other surgeon now. II hope this has helped you to make sure you choose the right surgeon. Good Luck.

Yes, that certainly helped. Can I ask another question though, did you have the corners of your mouth lifted in this procedure? Some surgeons do it as a separate thing.
And lastly, would it be possible to see your results? That would be terrifically helpful, but if you'd rather not I fully understand. Thank you!

Hi Kathryn, No I did not have a corner lift although I did esquire about this and Mr. Marando suggested having botox to lift the corners. I am now 6 weeks post opp and I am going to have this done in a couple of weeks time along with fillers.to give me the look I want. I would be happy to send you some photos, I could email them to you or I will be be updating my review soon with photos added. Kind regards

You're result is amazing and inspired me to seek out Mr. Marando for a lip lift myself. You're right that not many surgeons do this procedure and it is worth paying more for a great result. Thank you for your review, it has been very helpful.

Did you have any nostril distortion? In the first photo it looked like there was some mild distortion, but I know you just had your stitches out. Could you post a more recent photo? That would be great. Your result looks great but the photos are so close up its very hard to see how it looks with the rest of your face!

Here are some photos before and up to six week after surgery. My whole experience was better than I expected. I experienced very little pain and I heeled quite quickly, I am pleased with the scar, it is very neat and virtually invisible. My family have not even questioned what I have had done although have complemented on my appearance.
I am due to go back for fillers in two weeks time to give my lips the finishing touch and will post an update with pictures.

Thank you for your kind comment. It cost £2,950. and I am so glad that I had it done. I hated the fact that I had no tooth show and the distance from my nostrils to my cupids bow was 21mm, It is now just 11mm and I am much happier with my appearance now. There are still a few procedures I would love to have done to make me look better, but I will just have to wait a while.
