You look great! I especially like that your doctor took you into the operating room and explained everything in in detail. I didn't get that much info. Good luck!

I shopped around a little when I needed a revision to replace a ruptured breast implant. Upon my first visit with Dr. O'Brien I could tell he was different. He really took his time and was very direct about what to look for in a plastic surgeon. I found that comforting. He made sure to explain to me about his staff and the team that takes care of patients during procedures. He told me that if he or his family needed to have surgery he would want this team. I got a full tour of the office and the operating room with an explanation of every step of the procedure that I was inquiring about. I knew I needed to look no further after meeting Dr. O'Brien!!! Everything was laid out very specifically for me for pre-op instructions and any questions I had were quickly answered with a phone call or an email. The day of the surgery couldn't have gone better. My recovery was easy and my results are amazing. I couldn't have imagined more perfect results to be honest. Dr. O'Brien seems to be a very gifted surgeon as far as I can tell. Thanks Dr. and staff for a great experience!!!!

Congratulations! Was your rupture gradual or sudden? Glad you were able to get your revision. What type and size implant did you get this time? Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story with us on RealSelf!

Hi Beth. My rupture was sudden and quick because I had saline. I was not aware when it happened so I don't know exactly when it happened. I had 270cc saline for over 20 years and my left implant ruptured. I replaced with silicone 500cc. After experiencing both, I have to say that silicone is much better for me. I love the look and they feel so much more natural. My breasts honestly feel and look natural. There is no wrinkling or puckering like I had with saline. Saline were hard and unmoving and silicone are soft and squishy like real breast tissue.

That's great your implants lasted 20 years though! I suppose the rupture gave you a good reason to get a revision. I like your explanation of how the silicone implants feel different to you compared to the saline. I have heard that you have to go a bit bigger with silicone. Do the 500ccs fit in your old bras or did you need to buy new bras?

Oh yes, I needed to buy new bras. I was measured at a 32G, and I used to be 32C. It has been a struggle. I can no longer buy bras at Victoria's Secret and I have not yet found "cute" or "pretty" bras in G. From being on breast implant forums my 500's seem to have made me as large as many women have achieved with 600cc's. It is taking me awhile to get used to them and I am still learning the best styles of clothes to wear.

Let us know when and if you find some "cute" bras. I have heard this from other larger breasted women. Such an unfair trade off! ;) Feel free to share any pictures you're comfortable posting!

Can I ask you how much you paid for your revision ? I also considering a consultation with him and I like your results
