WORTH IT$400
I saved up for a while for my TT and it was a big deal for me financially. I am so glad I took a chance on Embrace Scar Therapy because I believe that it made my scar lighter and flatter than the average TT patient. It was expensive but to me it was worth it. My PS could have gotten it for me at a cheaper rate but I didn't realize that when I bought it so I paid full price. I believe I used it for 2 months from the time my PS cleared me to do it (maybe around my 1-month check up - I can't remember exactly).

I saw my PS at my 1-year post-op and she said my scars are one of the best she's ever seen. My TT scar is fairly low, but I really want to be able to wear low bikinis so I'm happy that it's light and flat. The edges of my scar (past my hips) are already so light that they are barely noticeable and I'm hoping my middle section will continue to lighten.

I thought of Embrace like an investment in my TT. I would recommend it.

PS I wear Shiseido foundation stick spf 37 on my TT and belly button scars when I go in the sun to hide them and protect them. I will continue to do this until they're really not noticeable, probably a couple more years. It makes me feel better about it.

Wow nice results, I am glad you shared this with the community.  That really faded a lot in a 2 month time frame.

13 months post-op. Light enough that it a bit pokes out of my bikini it's not that noticeable.

Thanks for the comments, I also invested in the embrace but could really only afford 2 months worth. I also bought some for a revision on one breast augmentation done last Nov. I have been approved to start using the silicone scar serum called bioCornrum for right now. I guess it is now the only FDA approved scar treatment on the market if that means anything. Lol After 19 days I still have one drain in darn it, so don't really want to start using the embrace until that drain comes out. I am really hoping I don't have any reaction to the adhesive. For me its a hit and miss. It's never anything severe but I have a tendency to get hives with certain tapes. I can never tell when it's going to happen. I do have a question for you? When you removed the tape at the end of each 10 days was it hard to get off and was there a lot of adhesive left on the skin that needed to be cleaned off? Just wondering, like I said I think I will give it a few more weeks before I start using. Right now I think my scar looks great for less than 3 weeks. I spoke to my doc & he was neither for or against me using the Embrace, he just thought the price was very high. He's not the one walking around with the scar though.

I'm so sorry I'm just now seeing your questions! I'm sure you're all done with Embrace, but I'll answer them for anyone else reading this. Yes removing the Embrace bandages was a little difficult. I oiled them up with jojoba oil to ease them off, and gently worked them off in the shower.

I also could only afford Embrace for a short period - was it 2 months? Maybe 6 weeks? I can't remember. But my PS said my scars look great so I think it was a good amount for me.

Good for you for doing the Embrace! It's hard to save up for it, but I agree with with that you're the one walking around with the scar and I thought of it as an investment in a scarline that can hide easily in bikini bottoms. :)
