After a 60 Pound Weightloss, my Arms Were a Mess! - Spokane, WA

I'm a 46 year old mother of two children ages 24 and 16. I have struggled with my weight since my son was born 24 years ago. Through healthy eating and regular boot camp workouts at my gym, I have managed to lose 60 pounds. I had a tummy tuck done in 2012 and have been thrilled with the results. Despite looking and feeling better, my arms were still a mess. No matter how much weight training I did, my arms didn't show any improvement in their flabby appearance. I met with the same plastic surgeon who completed my tummy tuck two years before, and together, we decided an armlift was the best choice for me. I had my brachialplasty with lipo done on 12/23/14. I am thrilled with my healing process so far. He used only dissolvable sutures and no visible stitches. The pain has been minimal. Because he elected to not take the incision into my armpit, I already have full range of motion. I am happy with the placement of the incision. It's a straight line, just under my arm. It's not visible from the front or sides. I will post pictures of the incision when the tape is removed.

I'm 12 days post-op today. The swelling is better and bruises have almost disappeared.
