I'm a 46 year old mother of two children ages 24 and 16. I have struggled with my weight since my son was born 24 years ago. Through healthy eating and regular boot camp workouts at my gym, I have managed to lose 60 pounds. I had a tummy tuck done in 2012 and have been thrilled with the results. Despite looking and feeling better, my arms were still a mess. No matter how much weight training I did, my arms didn't show any improvement in their flabby appearance. I met with the same plastic surgeon who completed my tummy tuck two years before, and together, we decided an armlift was the best choice for me. I had my brachialplasty with lipo done on 12/23/14. I am thrilled with my healing process so far. He used only dissolvable sutures and no visible stitches. The pain has been minimal. Because he elected to not take the incision into my armpit, I already have full range of motion. I am happy with the placement of the incision. It's a straight line, just under my arm. It's not visible from the front or sides. I will post pictures of the incision when the tape is removed. Updated on 31 Dec 2014: Updated on 4 Jan 2015: I'm 12 days post-op today. The swelling is better and bruises have almost disappeared. Updated on 6 Jan 2015: The last of the tape has come off. This picture was taken right after I got out of the shower, so the incisions are a little red. Updated on 16 Jan 2015: I went for my second follow-up appointment this morning. I got the ok to start working out again. Im going to start with water aerobics and cardio class for a few weeks, then gradually add weight training. Dr. Cooper said my scars are healing well, and I can start massaging them and using scar gel and scar tape. He also said I can cut back on wearing the compression sleeves. I'm not going to them to work anymore, but will continue to wear them at home and when Im sleeping. Updated on 16 Jan 2015: Updated on 16 Jan 2015: Updated on 16 Jan 2015: Updated on 22 Jan 2015: Tomorrow marks one month since I had my brachialplasty. So far the recovery has been easy with no complications. My scars continue to improve and lighten. I'm easing into weight training and I'm looking forward to being able to tone up and add some definition to my new arms. Updated on 31 Jan 2015: My arms are shaping up nicely. I've never had arms like this. Updated on 31 Jan 2015: These comparison pictures show how much this armlift has already improved my arms. Updated on 22 Mar 2015: It's been 3 months since I had my armlift, and I'm beyond happy with the results. I love how normal my arms look. They are proportional in size to the rest of me now. I continue to work on toning them so they have better muscle definition. I am currently using Merdermoa and Eucerin Cream on my scars and they are healing well. For only being 3 months out from surgery, I couldn't ask for a better result. Updated on 22 Mar 2015: Scar Healing Progression-Week 2, 3, 4, and 3 months Updated on 23 Dec 2015: One year ago today, I had my arm lift. I have been extremely happy with the results and have never regretted my decision to have this surgery. I continue to work on toning my arms through weight training. I wore sleeveless tops all summer, but was careful to apply sunscreen often to my arms. My scars have been a small trade-off for normal looking arms. Updated on 27 Jul 2017: I had my arm lift done in mid-December of 2014. I have never regretted having the procedure. My arms are normal size (Right arm-11 inches and Left arm 11.5 inches). My scare are light and barely noticeable.
Lipo in Neck and Hips - Jupiter, FL
Hi! So I have been suffering from back and neck pain forever. In middle school and high school I was an athlete until one day my boobs grew out of control and it became to hard to do any sports. I had been curious about getting on forever and finally went to the doctor to see what could be done. She referred me to a surgeon. From there he took pictures and said I was an amazing candidate for breast reduction surgery. About three weeks later I got a letter from my insurance agency saying I was approved. That was all the way back in April. Due to work and school I had to schedule my surgery for October. AND I HAVE BEEN DYING WITH ANTICIPATION!!! Every day I feel like there is more pain in my neck and they just feel heavier and heavier. I have been getting bad anxiety about the surgery. I keep thinking of the anesthesia and going under as well as the pain. But I know it will be worth it. Does anyone know how they determine what size you will be? My pre-op is the 15th so hopefully I'll find out then. Any good questions I should ask the doctor? Thanks!
