On December 13th... I will be two years out from my bilateral mastectomy. HAPPILY Passed that point in my life! Since I have made it my goal to heal as NATURALLY as possible, opting against Chemo and Radiation. I NEEDED to do things on God's & MY Terms ONLY!! I have NO Regrets up to this point and Don't expect ANY in the future. Cancer has taught me to "TAKE CARE OF ME FIRST... So that I can Take care of Others"!! I read and research and try to Learn, Improve and Share when asked. I Strongly Believe to Keep the dreaded Dis-ease AWAY... We cannot go BACK to the Familiar of Before the Diagnosis... Eating, Drinking, Stressing, Living, Negativity, etc.

I am FINALLY at a GREAT Place in my life and I'm READY for the Next Level!! :)

On 11/11/2015, I begin my the process of reconstruction! Yayyy Me! :)
I am getting implants as I don't have enough fat to create them. (Per Dr. Stephenson's expert opinion:) Admittedly, I'm a little Scared AND Anxious at the Same Time!! Scared of the "NEW & UNKNOWN", What to expect, as we are All Different and THE PAIN! :(
THIS Year I JUST got back feeling in my breast area... I've been Numb since having the bilateral mastectomy - Yayyy For ANESTHESIA!!

I'm not one for Laying around much, so I wonder about that - how soon can I get back to my routine and of course the dreadful JP Drains! But at this point I can endure almost anything (with Minimal PAIN) to Feel WHOLE & LOOK Like A Woman with BREASTS Again!!!! I was born withOUT breasts.. But NOT NIPPLES... that Part has Been the Most Difficult for me to come to grips with!!

I will gladly keep posting... Stay Tuned!

Thank you Kindly.... I love that phrase... "Happy Remake of You"! :) That's EXACTLY What it IS! :)

Yes I am accustomed the "pesky JP Drains"... But I can Endure them... for the short time, just to feel and SEE the Prayerfully Beautiful and Familar Sight of BREASTS! :)

Hi , I too am going to get reconstruction of my left breast and augmentation of the right breast. The journey has been a life lesson. .to love me and my body first. I've had my tissue expander in fir a while and the discomfort is real! Looking forward to seeing the results of my saline implant...which will ne temporary until I can lose more midsection to get a tramflap,as I am a good candidate for that. My pre op is on the 17th of November. I'm excited and just a little scared but so ready! Good luck to you! I'm putting my trust in the hands of God and him guiding My plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Budd

Greetings... I am getting the Implants, as I don't have enough fat elsewhere to build the breasts (so my Dr says... I beg to differ - You should see these thighs-Lol) But I'm Good with the decision Made! Thank you for the well wishes. I'll keep you posted

Well I've completed my Pre-op, asked a bunch more ?s, taken care of last minute details, made a few meals (most of which my husband ate-like he was at a buffet- Sheesh)! Got my baby dawgies situated, dug out the old "mastectomy gear" - button down pj tops, shirts, hoodies.
I Believe I'm Mentally There... have had quite a few sleepless nights since last week, guess the anxiety is getting the best of me, just the "fear of the unknown", kinda how I felt about the mastectomy... and that went Well, my scars healed and look good - This coming from someone who was afraid and did NOT look at herself for almost 3 months post op! (I know... I know) These are the things I have to Remind myself to CALM MYSELF! I KNOW I AM IN GREAT HANDS & I'm actually looking forward to the surgery... perhaps I can get a little sleep Wednesday. lol

I did take a few pictures (of my Breast area) lastnite for the FIRST TIME SINCE 12/13/13 WOW!! ... but I'll wait and see if the Dr is going to take some before and after pics ... I'm certain his will be better, if so. I've also NEVER taken my top off for anyone except my Drs mostly, my hubby a HANDFUL of times and my daughter who becomes my caregiver after surgery. I'm just STILL NOT USE TO NOT HAVING BREASTS!

Nonetheless, I'll try to update again Soon! Keep me in your Positive Thoughts and Prayers Please.

Thanks
