Silicone Microdroplet for Acne Scarring
Saw him for silicone microdroplet for acne scarring. He estimated I needed only 2 or 3 silicone microdoplet sessions (single syringe each time) during first visit. I’ve had 4 or 5, with minimal improvement, at best.
It seemed like he was not injecting into my scars because I’d find the needle pricks in unscarred areas so for the last visit, I circled the areas with pencil that I wanted injected to ensure there was no confusion. He injected only in one spot once after nurse stopped him mid procedure to remind him that I had circled the areas of treatment. Then went on his merry way injecting everywhere else. I wish I had more backbone to say something, but I don’t.
After the procedure was over, he said that people usually see good results after 10 to 12 visits. That’s an extreme jump from the 2 to 3 he originally told me, and does not jive with the amount of scarring I have. I know for a fact that my scars do not need more than one or two syringes, not the 10 to 12 he’s now saying, because I’ve filled the scars in the past with two syringes of Restylane. In fact, that’s exactly what I did one month after my last and final appointment.
I worried that it was a grift from the beginning, and wish I’d trusted my instincts. I asked to see the before and after photos before I left after my last procedure, and seeing the photo from my first appointment to that day was the confirmation that I needed.
