It took me several years to get to the point with enough courage to see a Dr. about my problems with the labia. They were to long and after menopause things just got worse. One of my main problems was pee splatter....yes the long in the way labia cause the pee to go everywhere but straight down. I know a lot of women don't talk about that point, but it happens. I finally got tired of it and went to see Dr. Shashoua. I met with his NP and didn't see him until surgery. But, he did call me on the phone and answer some questions and put me at ease. He is very easy to talk to and he truly cares about what is going on. He is an excellent surgeon. He took extra time on me since I am post menopausal which made surgery a little more difficult. My outcome was great and Dr. Shashoua and his staff guided me the whole way and made sure that I understood the entire procedure from beginning to end. The worst part of my procedure was the itching during healing. Other than that it was a breeze. Just used a lot of ice packs and warm showers for swelling. I also am very impressed with NP Sarah Stririss she is very easy to talk to and gets in on the surgery too! Please don't put it off anymore...go get it done and you will not be sorry!
