WORTH IT
Eeeeeek, it’s finally happening. Years of saying it hate my nose and hiding it in pictures, I’ve got my surgery date booked for the 11th April 19 with Dr Mark Solomos.
I’m having Septorhinoplasty to remove the lump at the top, straighten my septum as my nose goes to the left and also to reshape nose to give it that curved ‘cute’ nose shape.
I have no idea what it may look like after but I’m confident in my surgeon and everything he discussed in the consultation.
Please ask me any questions or get in touch and I will keep posting of my experience!

Where there certain pictures you showed your doctor?

Hey @bleigh38 - I didn’t show Mark any images because I know that I might not be possible to achieve the same nose. He gave me confidence in what he was telling me he could improve and I’ve look at other clients reviews to give me an idea of the noses he has achieved. I hope that helps? X

UPDATED FROM _kerrie
4 days pre

Thursday 11th is coming...

I’m 5 days pre op and I can’t wait. Besides having nerves and lying in bed every night thinking about arriving at hospital and waiting for my turn I’m so excited to be getting rid of the few bits of my nose I absolutely hate.
So far the communication with Christine and Chrissy in Mark Solomos team have been brilliant and they have both been so helpful.
Ive started my pineapple snacking which apparently helps with the bruising and now it’s just the final countdown to go.
I will keep you all posted as well as adding lots of before during and after pictures.
If you have any recommendations / suggestions to help with the bruising, swelling and all round comfort for post op please let me know!
Chow for now x

I’m 3 days pre now! So nervous but have faith in Mark. Did you get your admission time yet? I was surprised by how late mine was

Hey @carissajhtorne It’s so exciting isn’t it! Yes I’ve got mine, in for 11.30. What time are you in? I’m travelling up from Brighton so having that extra time in the morning means I can get a few hours extra sleep (I bet I’ll be up early anyways with excitement) and miss rush hour traffic. How are you feeling about it now that you’re so close? X

I'm in at 13.30! I'm travelling down from Leeds but staying in a hotel the night before thankfully, definitely agree that I won't be able to sleep though! Honestly, it doesn't feel real, I don't think it'll sink in until I'm in the operating theatre but I'm so excited for the day I get my cast off and see the results! How about you?
April 7, 2019
A hotel stay is defiantly needed for the length you’re travelling. Hahaha same here! Until I am in and sat there waiting then it’s going to hit me. When is your op date? Have you starting eating pineapple or any other fruits/veggies to help? X
April 7, 2019
It's on Tuesday, so very soon... in a few hours, I'll be able to say tomorrow! I've been eating pineapple and also started taking arnica today!

Just a quick update for you, today went better than I could have expected.
The op went well, Mr Solomos said my new nose looks great.
No pain, I just feel tired and could do with a 72 hour sleep.
The team at Highgate have all been brilliant and I am back tomorrow to get my packs out ewwww.
I will keep you posted.
Have some pics of everything today x
