I always wanted to change my heavy lower jaw and...

I always wanted to change my heavy lower jaw and give my face a more feminine oval-like shape. Hopefully, the possibilities of modern medicine allow to approach the desired appearance. I was always dreaming to proceed a V-line and knew a lot of kpop stars who got a V-line and each result was gorgeous. There was no doubt that I’d go to Korea, the problem was to find the right place with the right doctor. According to my search the most popular places were: Opera, JK and Regen. I thoroughly collected the information about each clinic and contacted with their patients. Finally, I got online consultations and set appointments. I rent a studio apartment for 3 weeks next to Gangnam station Exit 5. Upon the arrival purchased a pocket wifi for easier connection with my assistant, family and friends. My way started with Opera, as it was the closest to my place (at Exit 11), the second was Regen (closer to Sinnonhyeon St. Exit 6, but it took me about 15 mins to walk there) and the last was JK (I got there by taxi, and it took me less than 10 mins). 1. My first impression (and not only) about Opera didn’t meet my expectations. The only thing I liked about it was the location. Waiting line was so long (at first, I thought the more crowded the better, but later I was tired of waiting and figured out that the management was so unorganized) even though I got a scheduled appointment. The consultation with the doctor was very quick, after he sent me for testings without clearing out whether I want to procced it there or not. I had a lot of questions, but 80% of them weren’t the responses I wanted, it didn’t seem expert-like, I was quite disappointed. 2. When I came to Regen, the assistant was already waiting for me in the front door. What amazed me the most is that Regen has a separate building (with 15 floors) which called Regen Tower. The consultation began on time. Dr.Oh was very attentive, he could speak English quite good and I clearly understood him. The reason why I liked him was because he didn’t push on me. He patiently listened to me, told his suggestions and answered all my questions (even the ones not related to my surgery and it felt very professional, especially when he spoke to me while examining pictures of my bone :)). 3. To JK I went the next day and I liked about it almost everything. The service was perfect, all the staff was very kind and polite and the assistant was so pretty and sweet but once I met the doctor he spoiled all the impression. I tried to start from what I’m seeking for and what kind of operations I want to proceed but the feeling was like I spoke into his right ear and all the information flew away immediately from the left one. I felt how he didn’t take me seriously and the attitude was terrible. When I tried to ask, he made a face like “you already know the answer, why bothering me?” and the choice was obvious. The same evening I contacted Regen again and we set the operation on the next day. I was advised not to eat or drink 12 hours before the surgery. The next morning I came back for the operation. It lasted for 4 hours. The incision was made in the lower part of my mouth above the gum (about 4 cm). As Dr.Oh described the details of my surgery during the consultation, a part of my chin bone was cut out, moved forward and set. To prevent any movement after the procedure it was fixed with titanium plates. As a result, the asymmetry was aligned and the lower part of my face became smoother. I remember nothing from the operation, as was under general anesthesia and woke up already in my recovery room. Surprisingly, but I didn’t feel any severe pain as most told, only a slight ache in the chin area. I had to stay there over night and could go back home only next morning. The first two weeks weren’t easy at all. It was almost impossible to eat, only soups and yogurts and the diet also advised to exclude salt so that swalling’d be gone faster, I got a lot on my neck and lower lip. Hopefully everything was gone during the next 2 weeks and the situation became much better after almost 3 weeks (I was 80% recovered). Frankly speaking, the felling was like I’m at war: got an injury, was constantly hungry and had to sleep in a sitting position for 3 weeks (had to hold my head higher to escape long-lasting swelling). But the result definitely worth to go through all inconveniences. Now it’s almost a year past and I’m completely recovered. The results are naturally beautiful and my face shape is oval as I wanted. But before daring on such serious procedure, it’s better to choose the best plastic surgery with an experienced and professional doctor because on this depends the results and your satisfaction.
