The constipation can be a real problem!!!

It has been five months since my surgery and I still feel that Dr. Cooper and his team did a fantastic job. I am thrilled with the results of my surgery and my only regret is that I didn’t have the tummy tuck and arm lift earlier. I am still far from feeling like I have a “perfect body” (who does?) but now am not mortified of my belly or frustrated by clothes not fitting correctly.

A note on a potential con of the procedure: I was surprised by how little pain I experienced immediately after the surgery. I took the prescribed meds to avoid discomfort but do wish that I was aware of the impact this would have on my GI system…I would strongly urge a person who has a similar procedure to keep tabs on this, as the only terrible distress that I experienced was constipation/hemorrhoids as a result of the meds. I was given stool softeners but apparently I needed something stronger or a larger does; I made the mistake of not noticing the issue until it was too late to comfortably remedy/avoid.
