You would think that a big nose would have bigger...
You would think that a big nose would have bigger airways, but that was never the case for me. I've always been a mouth breather, and my nose shape never really fit my face.I chose Dr. Portuese based on reviews I read on RealSelf and I was not disappointed! Getting my nose straightened was a huge confidence boost, and I love my profile without the hump.My breathing improvement was not as drastic as I'd hoped (something that Dr. P warned me about), but I'm hoping it will continue to improve. I'm not a mouth breather 24/7, but I definitely am at night.Recovery was pretty difficult for me. The cast thing feels like a binder clip on your nose even without the stuffing. I'd recommend anti-anxiety drugs over pain meds if you have the choice since pain meds don't really help. Overall, I'm glad I did it, but I'm glad it's over!
