I had my BA almost a month ago. I am 5'5 139 pounds. When I had my consult and pre op appointment with my doctor she said that she was going to do 500cc HP because of my narrow frame. And since I liked the 400 sizers she would have to do 500. After looking at photos of 500 they looked so big! So we agreed on doing 475cc. She did not take any measurements at that time. I had the implants put in through the armpit and after surgery I don't remember much but I wasnt in a lot of pain. When I got home I iced them and during that next week had some pain and zingers but nothing too bad.
I had a post op appointment with my doctor and she gave my a band and told me to do massages because my left implant is still higher than my right. It's been about a month now. After 2 weeks I wasnt in any pain. But my left implant is still really high and my right has seemed to completely dropped. My implants also seem to be far apart and near my armpits. When I looked at the mentor card she put in moderate plus! Not high profile! That's not what we talked about. My implants also do not look that big for a 475cc. I know they don't have as much projection but looking at the mentor website with the same implants and stats they look bigger and closer together. They look really small looking down at them, and unless I really squeeze them together I don't get cleavage. My doctor gave me a really tight sports bra to wear that's been pushing them together but don't know if that's helping.
I feel really discouraged, I thought by now I'd get to wear low cut tops and go buy new bras. I'm wondering if I will need a revision. And if I do if I should get bigger implants. Any advice would be appreciated:)

My lefty has finally dropped about a month and a half ago. But the right one is still lower, about half and inch or more. You can see in my photos that I took in the mirror (right is on the left). My doctor says to keep wearing a supportive bra 24/7 but I'm afraid I might need a revision to bring the right one up, or lower the left one. It looks like she made the right pocket too big and the left pocket too small. I am also unhappy as too where the scars are placed. I thought the armit insision would be less noticeable but as its getting warmer I can't even wear tank tops or strapless tops without the scars showing. The incisions are placed more lower on the arm pit then I thought they would be :( I also feel that the implants are placed in my arm pit too much like they need to move to the center of my chest just a little bit. I still need to wear an extremely padded bra to get the cleavage I want, the whole purpose on getting this done was to get rid of the padded bras, now that's all I'm wearing to get any cleavage. I got sized at a 34DD but I can also fit a 34D. I think if they were closer together, and the same height I would be happier, it's not really noticeable in a bra but it is naked. I don't know if my doctor will charge for a revision but I'm disappointed that I will have to, I don't want to go through that again and I don't have anymore time off or money. They also move far apart when I lift my arms or lay on my back. Is that normal? I've seen photos of others that don't do that.

Oh I'm so sorry, yeah I agree it looks like your doctor messes up the pockets and placement. It's much harder to place them correctly through the armpit. But I agree again your incisions should be way smaller. I'd wait a few more months but I just don't see them coming together and looming right. I'm so sorry you're going through all of this and may need a revision. :( please keep us posted.

Revision needed!
A2DDMay 29, 2015
I posted my photos on this site to ask other doctors what they think. They said that these implants are malpositioned and will only get worse. And that the mod plus is too wide for my frame and that's why they are falling into my armpits! I originally thought I was getting high profile, it wasn't until after surgery I found out she put in mod plus because it "fit better for my frame." I have a feeling that's probably the only size she had at the time. They also said if she didn't use and endoscope in the armpit it would make the pockets worse. Which I'm not sure if she did but probably not! I'm so frustrated with this doctor. I live 2 hours away and haven't had time for another evaluation. But I really don't want to have to pay for a revision! If I do get a revision I was thinking after summer when I can wear sweaters again. I am just so unhappy with my results...has anyone else had this problem. Any advice? Help!

Im sorry to hear that your unhappy with your implants,I'm getting mine June 10 and this is the type of thing I'm worrying about its sad you pay all that money and you can't trust the doctor to give you what you want, hopefully everything work out for you

I went in through the armpit using an endoscope, 450 cc mpp. My doctor put the incision more horizontal in the fold of my armpit (my surgeon drew it before surgery and checked the line wasn't visible when I lowered my arms). I'm 3+ weeks post op and have been able to wear tank tops, work out, go to the beach etc bc the incision is hidden when my arms are down. As far as cleavage goes, my doctor said that no implant can create cleavage, the boundaries are naturally closer to your midline or they are not. Trying to create it can lead to issues bc you breast tissue isn't strong enough to support the implants. Luckily I've always had cleavage and am very happy with the shape post op which is one of the risks of getting transax bc it's harder to create a precise pocket (esp without endoscopic assist). Even if it's more expensive, I'd recommend finding a doctor that you trust.

That's how I thought the scars would be, but they are not even on both sides. One is lower near the breast one one is higher. It's frustrating because if I would have known I would have done it under the breast so I can wear clothing without them being visible.

I'm so sorry I just commented and said I thought you'd need a revision. Your surgeon should have to pay for your revision with a new doctor. She messed up horribly and you shouldn't have to pay for it again and again!
