Astounded with the results - I’ve seen a massive improvement

My experience with Dr. Shanthala was excellent. I have suffered from acne scars since acne in my teens left me with significant scarring. Now in my mid 30s, I was beyond tired of living with scars. I’m married, I have a college degree, and I have a relatively successful career, yet hardly a day has gone by in the past 20 years that I wasn’t aware of my scars. It’s a very tiring thing to live with and I’ve never felt great in social situations because of them. I finally decided to reach out to Dr. Shanthala after researching acne scar treatment providers in greater Boston, and boy am I glad that I did. I’ve attempted a couple of scar treatments in the past with other people, and I saw very little in the way of results, so I was skeptical initially going into my consultation. I could tell right away that Dr. Shanthala was different. She booked a considerable amount of time with me for an initial consultation, and I think I stayed even longer. She was very upfront and open about the state of my scars, what types of things can be done, and what type of results are reasonable to expect. As an analytical person, I have been disappointed in the past with the complete lack of knowledge acne scar treatment providers seem to have about current available treatment options, how they work, and how to optimize results. I had 0 such worries with Dr. Shanthala. She is an actual Doctor, to start with, and her overall knowledge absolutely blew me out of the water. She had no interest in selling me any particular treatment, because she performs them all. What she did do was lay out a specific treatment plan, using a combination of treatments. She was also made sure to understand my budget and appetite in terms of how aggressive to be in treatments, since she could design a few potential paths depending upon my answers. Ultimately I put few restrictions on the plan, since I wanted the best results I could get. In retrospect I think this was a great move. It’s a huge comfort to know that Dr. Shanthala is a doctor, because we were aggressive in our treatments. It gave me a huge comfort to know that she understands how my nerves and vascular system work for instance, since so much work is done under the skin in sensitive areas and so much can go wrong. Dr. Shanthala is extremely adept at the actual treatments. I was always made very comfortable, even during the painful parts (relatively minor). Ultimately I’ve had RF microneedling, classic microneedling, and some basic subcision, as well as adjunctive treatments such as PRP, Botox, and exosomes. I was particularly impressed that she has exosomes, which are a cutting edge addition to scar treatments. I also have recently started fractional laser treatments (and my before and after photos are pre-laser to I have had even further results which I will update once finished). I’ve been really astounded with the results. Where I thought I had no hope, I’ve seen a massive improvement. I can’t convey strongly enough how happy that makes me when I’m meeting new people, or out socially, or just going about my daily life. At times, it feels like a giant weight has been lifted. I can’t thank Dr. Shanthala enough. While my face isn’t 100% scar free, I’m excited to see the improvement after every time I visit Dr. Shanthala. I’ve also come to know her as a person after spending a good amount of time at her office, and I can say that she is a genuinely nice and caring person. She always puts my well being first, and she is every bit as passionate and excited to see results as I am, which is saying a lot. I highly recommend anyone looking for someone to treat their acne scars to reach out to Dr. Shanthala, she is simply the best!
