Two days post surgery.
Well I'm two days post surgery. I feel good. Definitely over did it the day after surgery with the Costco shopping trip and the 3 hour drive home. I'm exhausted and sore today. That could be due in large part
To not sleeping last night. I miss sleeping on my side and stomach.
I was up from 1:30 to 4:30.
Couldn't really nap today either. Hubby can't be left unsupervised apparently lol. He is currently in the kitchen spilling rice all over the place.
But no, I just couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep. Took off my bandages last night and had a shower and I have to say I am happy with how things have turned out :)

What's done is done!
Well it's over! We went in this morning about 830. I was supposed to go in for surgery at 10:30, but we all know nothing runs on time in the medical industry. So I spoke with the anesthetist at about 10:45. He was great, came and double check allergies and history of anesthesia troubles. Not that I had one. Then my PS came in and drew his road map on my chest and made sure I was sure I wanted to do this and listened to my reservations and answered any last minute questions. Shares a few jokes and talked about our children. Then my two OR nurses came in and doubled checked all of the questions and wrapped me up on some warm blankets and scooted me to the OR. Popped me up on the bed and the started attaching leads and monitors. My PS, hooked up his iPod and the music put me at ease. My anesthesiology, gave me a small needle and numbed my hand before putting the IV in, which was great, as most people can't get an IV in on me. He slid it in the first time with no problem. So very thankful for that. He turned on my happy juice and the next thing I know I was waking up in recovery and asking Christine (my nurse) for a drink. I had a couple sips of water and napped again and I woke up to her telling me I needed to breathe! Apparently my oxygen was low, so they put the oxygen prongs up my nose for awhile. She asked if I was in pain and I was in some, so they gave me some dilaudid. Then I was wheeled to recovery with my beautiful oxygen accessory lol.
The hubby was there, looking a little worse for wear. He was more worried about this than I was :)
We hung out in recovery from about 230-530, I had some toast and jam and juice, water and gingerale. The nurses randomly check my vitals and chatted, got me up and moving. They checked my bandages and I had a little leakage, so they patched me up and decided I could go home. When we were discharged the nurses were amazing and so sweet. Everyone made sure I was happy and feeling good! We made a stop at the drugstore and picked up some soups and snacks and came back to Our hotel room. Had some noodle soup and a pain killer and watched tv and dozed off and on from about 630 until midnight. Occasionally had mumbled conversation with the hubby lol. My PS told me i would probably find my c-section more painful than this. So far I agree with him :)
I'm not really sure what size i am. But I am attaching some pics. Thank you again ladies for all of the love and support!

Morning of...
Sitting here at the hotel. Trying not to think too much :)
It's definitely become real. Hubby is in the shower and I'm writing a quick review..... And starving lol.
We have to be at the hospital in an hour and 15 minutes. Nerves are there, but not too bad. I'm going to call my 5 year old on the way to the hospital. Yesterday her told me if I was nervous that I could phone him. But that everything was going to be fine! Lol nothing like your 5 year old talking you off the ledge LOL!
I'll update after the surgery! Have an excellent day!
