Worth it!

I can't believe I'm approaching my year anniversary. Time flies! A year ago I was so nervous about having this surgery. I'm so glad I did it and didn't chicken out. My breast are soft and feel very comfortable and real. Before surgery I was worried I would always feel something foreign in me but that is not the case. They feel very much a part of me. I wish I had more pre-op pictures. When I see my ps at the end of next month I'm going to get copies to compare how I looked then to how I look now. It's funny how easily you get used to your new look. They are sisters not twins. I like the left side with the smaller implant best. It looks slightly bigger and has more side boob. All and all I'm really stoked with my results. Definitely worth it!

Thank you so much!!! I am soooooo relieved! My fear was they were gonna look stiff like a mannequin and not squish together on your side. Looking at your pics they seem to fall pretty naturally.
I see what you're saying about that space. I have a similar space (which I never noticed before I started obsessing about this augmentation). Was there anything the ps could have done differently? This is also a topic I want to discuss with my ps. I think I'll be okay as long as I know what to expect.
I didn't notice my gap until after surgery. I thought the gap was from lack of boobs. At my 3 month post op appointment my surgeon did say he could do fat injections. I wish I had known more about profiles before surgery. I've wondered if I'd have more projection with a different profile or a larger implant. I focused on looking natural and worried about going too big. If I could go back in time I'd definitely ask for 350cc or 400cc. You should check out Britt56 review. Her results are amazing. Glad I could help. My breasts didn't squish together like that right away it took a couple months. You should start a review. I was hesitant at first but everyone is so great and supportive. Even though there are things I'd do differently overall I'm really happy with my results I look way better than before. I'm glad I finally took the plunge and had this surgery. Honestly the most stressful part was preparing for surgery. Best of luck. Keep me posted let me know what your ps says about filling in the gap :)
I love the way britt56 looks!! Another thing I like about both yours and hers is you didn't have that frankenboob look where they look scary, square and super high. They look really natural practically right after surgery. I guess that's the point of getting the shaped implants.
I am very excited about the results but am nervous about the pain and lack of movement. I go back to work 7 days after surgery. I hope that's enough time.
Yes I was so scared of the square boobs! Although my breasts were higher after surgery it was mostly swelling and muscle tightness. I used ice for the first couple days. I also found the Valium worked best for pain. It relaxed my muscles and I felt relaxed which allowed me to actually rest. I took 1/2 the suggested dose and it really helped. I took the pain med too but after about 4 or 5 days I didn't need either medication. I think 7 days is enough time. I had my surgery on a Monday and by the weekend I was getting back to my normal routine. I just moved a lot slower. The pain isn't too bad. The first day or 2 is just weird from the anesthetic and medication. I felt out of it. The pain is like tightness. It reminded me of when I was nursing and my milk came in. My ps allowed me to do arm exercises after the 3 day. That helped a lot with muscle tightness. Ask your ps they all are different. You'll do great. The time before surgery is the hardest part.
I might of missed it but did you do High Profile? and you look amazing and very natural
Thanks. Moderate profile. Sientra Classic base shaped implant.
This is awesome that you took and posted these pics! Wish I had seen them prior to my BA as well! I did get the high profile (300 cc) and am really happy with them...had to get a revision on my left, but it looks good now. Yours actually look really even to me...but then again I've been obsessing over my asymmetry for months now! (Mine rotated and didn't drop...it was way more obvious than yours...which I have to look very hard to see any difference...they look very natural, congrats!). Thanks again for the informative photos!
Thank you! Have been totally curious how they "flop" if at all!

6 Months Post
Hi. I can't believe its been over 6 months from my surgery. My implants feel like a part of me. They are super soft and jiggly. They feel natural. My muscles have fully relaxed and I don't get little twinges of pain anymore. Due to my anotomy my breasts sit far apart on my chest. I wonder if I'd chosen round implants or hp if they would be closer together. The size is modest and exactly what I asked for. When I feel they are too small I look at my before pictures. I'm very happy with my results. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

hi smokey5. good to hear that you are doing fine. me too, I am 2 and half month post op and feel back to normal, I feel strong again....yeah! happy about it. I am so amazed how natural they look and I don't feel anything, they really feel like I had them all my life. I did not expect that. take care! looking good girl!
you look AMAZING! Seriously your new boobies are my dream boobs! Love love love!! I am too much of a chicken to go under the knife though.
Thanks you are so sweet. I was super scared. It took me years to finally decide to go for it. The funny thing is everything I was afraid of was not an issue. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Best of luck :)
Wow, can't believe how natural your look! Did you get the round base and what projection? I got round and I was scared it would make me look too wide, wasn't used to having breast overlap my armpit area, but at 6 months mine is settling down now too. Can you get yours together now? Mine are almost there if I push really hard.
Thank you! You look amazing! Mine are classic base moderate projection. I can push em together comfortably now. I have always had huge gap between my breasts. I want to find a bra that pushes them together rather than pushes them up. Any suggestions? If I were to do it all over again I would ask if a higher profile would help close in the gap. I'm sorry to hear you have to have a revision. Glad it's not cc and an easy fix. Good luck with surgery and keep us posted.

I ended up with high projection 300cc both sides, and I haven't gone "cleavage" bra shopping yet, I have a feeling I won't feel comfortable about it until at least a year out...I didn't think there would be a significant change between 2 and 6 months, but looking at the pictures ...I'm wrong! I'm sure there will be more changes in the next 6 months for me (especially after my revision this month). Thanks for the response...my husband isn't a "boob" guy so all of this is wasted on him (although I do think he is slowly changing his mind!)
Thanks. I'm going to check these out.
You look fantastic, sweets!!! We both have five kids :) I too, nursed them all including my twins. It was great to fill the deflated breast tissue/baggy skin from nursing :)
Thanks. Your results are stunning! You look amazing! I hope my scars disappear like yours.
They will fade out some more :)
I'm not sure if I've overlooked this but what size were you before? I'm scheduled for Dec 29th (hoping to move it to Dec 26th) and I too am getting shaped implants. I'm also curious about how they move. I know you said they're soft and jiggly but how do they look when you lay on your side? Do they move or are they kinda frozen in that teardrop position?
Please forgive me if I've asked you this question before. I posted a similar question but I can't remember on whose page I posted it.
Hi. I wore a 32A padded push up before surgery. I'll post a picture of how they look when I lay on my back and sides. I have a large gap between my breasts and it's more pronounced when laying down. When I lay on my sides they are soft and squish together. They look way better when I'm laying on my sides than on my back. It does take a while for them to soften up. I was pleased with how they felt at 3 months but at 6 months they are even better and get better everyday. What size are you getting? What's your goal? If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Best of luck! It'll be here before you know it
What size am I getting....? That's a good question. When I went for my consultation we decided on 355cc mentors. At that time I didn't really know anything about projection. Since then I've been doing more research and am considering going a little bigger (closer to 400cc) and want to discuss the projection (moderate vs moderate plus). Sooooo, when I go for my pre-op appt. I've scheduled time to meet with the ps again to get all this worked out in my mind.
I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics to this site (I've pretty much only ever visited from my phone) so I can at least post my wish pics. I'm a small B now and want to be a full C or small D.
I had this same question and I'm 6 months post and can see them softening up and acting more natural. I was very scared that they wouldn't move when I was on my back or side, but they actually do slightly change shape because of the natural breast tissue around them. I started off barely a 32 A with 300CC shaped round base high projection implants (Sientra) I have to say I've very pleased...well, with my right one...it's perfect, but my left didn't drop into the "pocket" that was made evidently due to tissue not stretching as expected. I have a revision for the left scheduled in two weeks, which is supposed to remedy the situation. Good luck, and just be VERY PATIENT! Its really scary the first week or three after surgery because of all the swelling....just have faith, it will settle down!
So will the revision be as invasive as the original surgery? Is the healing time and process the same? I'm glad you didn't experience much pain with the augmentation. I'm sure this should be even easier since the muscle is already stretched. So how does the ps now get it into its pocket??
I'm told the revision is super simple and recovery will be fast. Basically, they will go in and just "score" the breast tissue under the implant that is stopping it from dropping into the pocket. The Dr. said he can see that when he pushes on the implant in seats correctly into the pocket, so he assures me it will be fine. He's convinced the pocket he made is fine. You are right, it should be easier since he isn't touching the muscle at all...he says i'll have to avoid cardio for a week or so, but then I should be "back to normal" we'll see...
