I'm 63 years old and have always maintained a young-looking, lean, fit and trim body; but over the last decade I was noticing my face was really looking old and tired. I'd been thinking about a facelift for several years so my face would match the rest of my body and look like I feel. I met Dr. Elyassnia when he performed my trigger finger release through my health plan, and subsequently found out his specialty is esthetic and cosmetic surgery.

Omg - you look like you could be your daughter!!! Marvellous!!! Do people you know walk past you in the street? I am having similar done in Sth Korea in April - can't wait!

Thanks, everyone. But really it's Dr. Dino I need to thank. I forgot to mention that the laser resurfacing around my eyes and mouth really didn't cause any pain. It was messy and ugly for a while, but not painful. I feel good physically, but lack of exercise has been difficult and left me with stiff and flabby muscles. In one more week I'll be able to start some moderate physical activity, thank goodness! In the meantime, several daily stretches help relieve the muscle malaise.

You look amazing you must be so happy with your results. You look 20 years younger.

I admire you for having the courage to show the results of laser. I think the end results will be absolutely fabulous, but initially there is some discomfort to live through and other women will benefit from seeing very clearly what to expect. Kudos!! I can't wait to hear how you progress and how you feel.

I experienced no pain from the laser resurfacing around my eyes and mouth. It was messy and ugly, but not at all painful.
February 12, 2015
you look fabulous and so much younger. I must say you are the first photos I have seen right out of surgery. Did the lazer work hurt as much as it looks? I have heard horror stories about lazer procedures...how are you feeling now? please keep posting and feel beautiful.

The laser resurfacing around my eyes and mouth was not at all painful. It was messy and ugly, but no pain associated with it.

were there lots of meds for the pain or just no pain? You really must be pleased.thanks for posting...

The first three days were very bad. I was taking 10mg of codeine every 3 hours for that whole time. But once the two neck drains were removed (one of the most painful experiences I've ever endured), the pain subsided considerably and I was able to cut way back on the pain pills. After the first week, I was down to only one a day, in the evenings when I was tired. But overall, once I got past the first 3 days, it wasn't too painful at all. The sorest part was my neck and jaw where my doctor did a lot of work. Most people don't experience much pain at all from facelifts, but I've got such a low tolerance for pain. Each person has his own experience.

Great results, but not without discomfort I know! Thank you so much for sharing your journey so far! Please keep us posted as you continue to heal. Are you back to your normal routine yet?

February 13, 2015
I was able starting yesterday (the start of week 3 post-op) to resume sleeping in my normal positions rather than strictly on my back. That alone is a tremendous relief. And I was given the ok to do aerobic activity, which is also a great relief as I'm a physically active person and work out regularly. My face is starting to get back to its normal proportions now, but with a look 15 years younger. Facelift surgery has come a long way! I will never do this again, though. I really just wanted my face to match the rest of my body and now it does. I'll concentrate now on keeping my face in the best possible shape to keep up with the rest of my body. Thanks so much for your feedback!

I never used sunscreen before the surgery. Now it's part of my daily routine. I need to buy stock in sunscreen companies! :D

This is the first day I'm allowed to sleep normally rather than only on my back. It will be so good to not have to take a sleeping pill to sleep. It's also the first day I'm allowed to have some aerobic exercise. My body has been longing for meaningful movement and my walk up the hill around my block was fantastic! I'm feeling just about normal. There's still some numbness under my chin and around the sides of my cheekbones, and my lips are still a tiny bit stiff, but am doing great! My face is starting to have normal proportions now and I can't be happier!

Hi realrockergirl! You had a very nice outcome - very fresh, natural-looking and very pretty! I can't believe how fast you healed from all of that! I'm so happy for you. :) Regards, murphus

Hi there, congrats on your lovely results! All's well that ends well, but 10 hours is really way too long for a surgery of this sort to take - did you know in advance you'd be in surgery for 10 hours? I almost wonder if that was a typo, as it is almost unheard of to be anywhere near that long. Thank goodness you came through it beautifully, you look lovely.
February 16, 2015
Well, I had a neck lift with extensive work there, a facelift, a temple lift, fat transfers from my waist to my face and then laser resurfacing around my lower eyes and mouth. I counted the 10 hours from when I was wheeled into surgery until my doctor phoned my husband when it was over. Fat has to be centrifuged before being transferred which takes time, and my surgeon never uses staples. He put an amazing amount of tiny stitches in all the incisions (and there were many incisions). This all takes time. I was under a very light general, and when I woke up I had no nausea. There was very little swelling and almost no bruising, too. My surgeon and his team did a fantastic job. If it took 10 hours, then that's the time they needed to spend to give me the results I wanted.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

10 hrs seems plausible to me. I had everything that you listed minus the neck lift (had that in 2011) and my total surgery time was 7 hrs (from surgery table when they knocked me out to when they woke me up). Perfection takes time. :) Warm regards, murphus

One month post-facelift, neck lift, temple lift, fat transfers, laser resurfacing

I saw Dr. Elyassnia yesterday for my one-month post-op visit. He said my incisions are completely healed and there is already hair growing from them. I seem to be ahead of schedule on the healing. My face is returning to a normal proportion, but looking 20 years younger. I'm very, very happy! He really is a wonderful doctor. :)

you look great!!! Are you still pink from the laser?
May 30, 2015
At exactly 4 months post-op, the pink is almost gone, but still very faintly visible.

You look fantastic! That laser really looks like it wiped all the lines away! Im a little jealous! I had pearl fractional last year and my lines are only 30% better. What type of laser did you use? I looked just like your bloody pic too though so it must be similar! Very beautiful results!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. My doctor uses an erbium laser. Ablative but shorter recovery times. It worked well for me!
