Eventually I would also love to get a tummy tuck and some body contouring and a breast lift, but right now my main concern was my double chin. I'm getting married in about two and a half months, and I'm pretty at peace with the size and shape of my body while I'm wearing clothes, but my double chin was messing up my cute face lol so I went to a doctor and he suggested kybella, because the lipo could potentially leave some new scaring on my chin and he wasn't sure if it would be fully healed by then, plus the risk of lumps and bumps, etc. It definitely hurt, when they did mine he used just over 4 cc, which is pretty aggressive but my double chin is substantial and we wanted to try and get the most out of the first treatment. My appointment had been for a lipo consultation, but after he told me about kybella I was all for it and he had time so we did it right then (well, I paid, and they gave me numbing cream first). So from the time I was filling out new patient forms from the time I left was only about an hour and 40 minutes.
I got 24 shots, they definitely burned significantly for about 5 minutes each, it only took him about 10 minutes total. They gave me an ice pack and I had just taken a level about an hour before so I didn't take anything else.

Oh.. I was wondering what you meant by "level" too lol. I am a guy and I do not want Lipo on my face so for sure I am going to do this next time I go in and get my Botox. How red was it afterward? Do you think I can go back to work right after?

There's a picture in my gallery of the injection site right after. It is definitely red, but like my other post suggested, it will be bigger than before and will swell over a couple of days. If you could even pull a 3 day weekend and get it done Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.. I would do that.

I am a guy and don't have a lot of fat under my chin but enough where pictures don't look the same as they did when I was 21, I'm 33 now. I plan on doing this the next time I go in for Botox. I normally go right back to work after I get that done. How red will I be and do you think I can go back to work right after without a lot of questions being asked lol?

Hey! It's pretty red! And you will have a fuller double chin right afterwards because they are injecting fluid. The second and third days are the worst. I would recommend going on a Friday and by Monday it won't be as bad. The swelling is definitely noticeable!!!!

Ah! Are you going to document and share, too? :) I want to see! It is so new, there are so few pictures, and the little youtube girls who had it done didn't really have a double chin to speak of!

Sorry, no pics for me. I'm 43 5 '5 140 lbs and it's time for a tune up. (This is one of many things I'm having done- I got Botox in my arm pits today too) Did the kybella hurt? My doc had me hold an ice pack on my chin and then gave me the shots. My chin,teeth and nose area hurt for about 4 hrs and now I feel fine, but swollen.

Good for you! I can't wait to get a tummy tuck and breast lift one day! The kybella totally burned! For about 10 minutes, the first 5 were horrible! But it was just sore after about 45 minutes.

I had my second treatment yesterday. This time the swelling is not as much an right now it feels like a hard lump., like a golf ball. After my first treatment, it took a few days for the swelling to come down.

No longer sore, but tender to the touch. Very swollen and jiggly firmness is going on like crazy.

Yeah, I had no idea until my lipo consultation, but I am like, you know what, even if it helps a little, I will be happier and more confident on the wedding day!

Usually 2-6 treatments, one month or so apart. I only have time to do 2 before my wedding so that is probably all I will do. I know I won't get full results, but I'm a size 18 so it might look weird if I had a super slim face... lol. Kybella is so new but it seems like the bullfrog effect takes 2-3 weeks to go away and then you see less than your original at about a month..

He said a little over 4cc? Or 4 something? Surely not 4 vials? All I know is he gave me 24 shots, ouch!
