19 Year Old Implants Needed to Be Replaced

I first had implants placed because I could only breast feed from my left breast, due to cystic disease. I was left with very asymmetrical breasts. At 36 y/o I had an augmentation. Although I had revisions throughout the years (since implants don't last forever!), I had noticed a change in the shape of my left breast. I feared a rupture. A friend referred me to Dr. Nathan.

I was very comfortable talking with Dr. Nathan. He was upfront and honest with me about what may happen in and after the surgery. He explained what he could and could not do because of my anatomical limitations due to different breast sizes, post nursing. He explained what my surgical options were. I only wanted to look "normal" again. I did not want to be bigger or try to look like a 25y/o. I wanted my augmentation to look very natural and be proportionate to my body size. The physician that did my very first surgery used larger implants than I thought I was getting and I did not like the size. I was too big for my frame. I am 61 now and felt my larger breast size was giving my small frame a matronly look. This is something women should consider when they think they want very large breasts. As you age, it is not so becoming. I have no reservations about my care from Dr. Nathan and his staff.
