WORTH IT
Hello! I would first like to thank all the ladies who have shared their BR experiences on this website. You all have been such a big help to me while I prepare for my big day on September 30th.
Every since I can remember I've always had large breast. I think I was wearing a DD cup in high school. I haven't been measured in a while, but my current bra size is a 40H. I weigh 190 lbs. and I'm about 5'7" tall. This is the biggest my breast have ever been and I can't even begin to describe the pain I have in my shoulders, neck, and back constantly. Back in May I went to see my PCP about the shoulder, neck, and back pain. He agreed that my large breast were causing this pain and he referred me to a plastic surgeon to discuss a Breast Reduction. On June 4th I had my consultation with the plastic surgeon, Dr. Ladocsi. He sent pictures and the paper work to my insurance company (Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield) and in about 2 weeks I was APPROVED to have the BR surgery! I was so freaking happy when I got the phone call from the doctor's office telling me the great news. That same day I scheduled my surgery date for September 30th.
I now have only 5 days until the surgery and I'm filled with all kinds of emotions. I'm nervous, scared, anxious, excited, EVERYTHING! I had my Pre-Op appointment Monday and it went well. It just made me even more ready to have this surgery. I can't wait to get rid of these jugs. I just want to be pain free and WEAR CUTE CLOTHES! I pray my surgery and recovery goes well and I'll keep you all posted!!

Itty Bitty Boobies!!

Ladies I have reached the other side!!
I arrived at the hospital at 10:30. My aunt dropped me off at the door, because parking was hard to find and I didn't want to be late. As soon as I reached the operating area things started moving rather quickly. The nurse put me in the changing room so I could robe up. I also put on hospital panties, the compression hose, and the socks every hopital has. I had to give an urine sample so they could make sure I wasn't pregnant. The nurse came back in and took my weight then I was taken to a prepping area. The PS came in to mark me up and go over the procedure one more time. Once he was finished the nurse got my tempetature, blood pressure & started an IV. After all of that was done my aunt was allowed to come back with me. Shortly after the anesthesiologist came in to talk to me and the nurse that would be in the OR came in as well.
ALL of that took place way before 10:45 and the surgery wasn't suppose to start until 11:30. Now you can see why I say things moved rather quickly! Before I knew it the anesthesiologist was back injecting the "magic cocktail" into my IV and the nurse rolled me inside the OR. I don't remember falling asleep, but when I did wake up I was in the recovery room with the nurse the took my weight & stuff in the beginning. My aunt came in and the look on her face made me know that I was significantly smaller. The nurse should them to me of course all wrapped up but I knew I no longer had H cups!!! Maybe and hour later I was able to leave the hospital. Getting into the car made me nauseous, so i popped one of those dissolvable pills under my tongue for nausea. Not sure if it worked though, because I still puked.
It is now the day after surgery and to my surprise I feel pretty good. I selpt good last night with no issues. I plan to take a shower later today and I'll get my first look at my new boobies. I must say that they seem to be a bit smaller than I had hoped, but I'm going to stay optimistic.
Here are some before pictures for you all and I'll post after pictures later.

Welcome to the other side! I'm 7 days post op, and extremely satisfied with the surgery. Please know that it took a few days (about 6 for me) to see the more realistic size. At the beginning the swelling made me appear to me much smaller than I anticipated. I'm told the shape and true size will best displayed weeks later. In the meantime, I've been focused on my after care. I'm so happy for you!

Congratulations on your surgery. Thanks for that I'm trying to think positive and just focus on the healing process like you said.

You are going to do great and love the results.
