4 Weeks Post-Op (Tomorrow)
hrk2014October 27, 2014
WORTH IT
Tomorrow I'll be 4 weeks post-op!!! Everything has been going great. I'm happy to say that this recovery process has been pretty smooth. I'm healing wonderfully & I don't think my scars are going to look that bad. I plan to stay using Mederma tonight. I might get some silicone scar sheets but they're so expensive.
On Thursday I had to go to the doctor's office because I had some of the suture to pop out on my right breast arround the areola. My PS wasn't there so I had to see one of his nurses. She just pulled it out a little more & cut it as close to the skin as possible. She said that the rest would continue to dissolve. I had like a spec of blood afterwards nothing major.
I have very little pain. It's pretty much sharp pains in my breast every now & then but they are bearable. I've been able to sleep on my side for a while now but I'm scared to sleep on my stomach. I'm no longer using Bacitracin, Neosporin, or Aquaphor. I only use Cocoa Butter Vaseline & Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil now. I think the Vaseline has helped scars A LOT!!!
Here are some pics. My next update will be at 2 months post-op if I don't have any major changes. Take care ladies :-)

Oh yeahhh I forgot to say that I do have nipple sensation in both breasts. I think it only took like a week for the feeling to come back, maybe not even that long.

Everything is going well so far. Ps doesn't want me using any scar sheets until around 6 weeks post op if I need to at that time. Going in next week to learn how to massage. Have you done that yet?

16 Days Post-Op Pics

Here's some post op pictures. I think the pictures make my breast look wayyy bigger than they are in person but anyways...
The only thing I've been doing is putting bacitrican, neosporin, and aquaphor on my incisions. Then I just put cocoa butter Vaseline on nonstick gauze and cover the incisions with it. I never had the tape or steristrips over my incisions so that's all I've been doing from the beginning. I'm not bleeding or draining that yellow stuff anymore (hope y'all know what I'm talking about) so I just change my dressings twice a day. When I wake up in the morning & before I go to sleep at night.
