Aside from the asthetic benefits of Botox, much to my delight it has also relieved me of my tension headaches - all gone. Never have experienced ANY bad side effects from Botox - only 1 syringe used - I think that is 20 units (not certain). Botox takes effect after approximately 2 days (everyone is different though).

How wonderful, thank you for sharing! Was the relief immediate or did it take a few treatments?

I ge the Botox injections because I clench m teeth at night when I sleep. It has really helped relax the shoulder and neck muscles which cause bad headaches.

My primary Dr sent me to a neurologist for pain mgmt and Botox injections due to headaches caused by clenching my teeth at night which was caused by a fall from my horse many yrs ago. I have a bulging disc on my neck and broke m ribs at the spine inbetween my shoulders. The pain gets so bad that it changes my personality per my friends and family. I had an MRI on my neck and the dr says my pain isn’t bad enough that my insurance will pay for Botox but he sent in for auth for Tordol trigger point injections. WTH? How bad is being bedridden when you get a migraine a few times a week and your shoulders and neck feel like a wet rag being twisted in opposite directions? I clench my teeth so hard that I finally bit thru the wire in my orthodontic retainer. Any advice is welcome. Thank you
