I'm so disappointed with the entire process. I had such high hopes after my consultation. Let me start by saying I do NOT have unreal expectations. I have the expectations that Dr Zinsser outlined in our pre-op appointments. I confirmed several times before I went ahead with the procedure. I had lost 60# through diet and exercise. I had some loose skin on my upper arms. I was looking for something to help me with that. Dr Zinsser suggested an arm lift (brachioplasty). He took a blue sharpie and drew a thin line on my arm to indicate what the scar would look like. Of course would not be blue, but indicating size and location of the scar. Well that's NOT what happened. Postop - Dr Zinsser became very dismissive of my concerns and pain. I could totally tell he was sick of hearing from me. At 6 weeks post op - he told me "You're released and you can do whatever you want". His nurse Melissa also confirmed this even when being questioned my the office Manager, Kristin. So I went back to the gym and started working out hard again, like I had prior to surgery. Of course I had to work my way back up in strength. Not long after this, my scars became WIDE, THICK, HYPERTROPHIC, etc. Dr Zinsser and Melissa then asked me "What happened?"... I said I don't know - I've been doing exactly what you told me to do. Dr Zinsser said the scars are "classic hypertrophic scars".... Turns out I never should have gone back to the gym so soon. Dr Zinsser in a very sarcastic tone said, "I will redo it.... but WHY WOULD YOU EXPECT A DIFFERENT OUTCOME?"..... He offered to use a laser on my scars. It is a Pixel laser. I went to two treatments. Did nothing to help my scars- except make them worse. I sought out another Plastic surgeon who specialized in scar treatments. He tried several different treatments and finally concluded I needed to have another surgery to remove the scars. I'm now going to a specialist with offices in DC, NY, Miami, Atlanta, etc to fix what Dr Zinsser did to me.

Dr Zinsser and his office staff were very nice before the procedure. Turned very different afterwards, especially when things were going badly in my recovery. Dr Zinsser became very dismissive of my concerns and questions. The nurse was apathetic, uncaring.....
