So Far So Good with Dr. Eyup Bozkurt :)

I was originally going to get rhinoplasty with another doctor but after the covid pandemic I had a lot of extra time to do some more research and let me tell you, there are a lot of mixed reviews about EVERY doctor online so it was really hard deciphering which ones were honest and which ones were written with malicious intent (it hadn't even occurred to me that people would write fake reviews for personal gain until a family member pointed out that they had experienced this with their own business). Anyway, I spent a lot of time anxiously mulling over all the comments but started to notice that most of the genuine reviews seemed to have a lot more detail so that's what I'm gunning for :).
I decided to go for Dr. Eyup Bozkurt. For me, it was the fact that he focuses on the breathing health and ability as an ENT as well as the aesthetic side that really made me feel he was the right choice for me. I had a deviated septum which prevented me from breathing properly and didn't really like my side profile very much as my nose would point down when I smiled and I had a small dorsal hump. His own style is very natural and suits the face so I felt that I would not end up with something that didn't suit me. It has been almost a month since my surgery as I got it done on the 25th of March and I can say that I'm very happy so far. Of course there is swelling but it's not so bad and it is expected especially since it hasn't really been that long. I'm thinking that the shape of my nose will show itself a lot better once the swelling has gone down but honestly I quite like it even now! As for breathing, I think I need to wait for my swelling and things to get settled fully before I can accurately say but I that I am able to breathe fine through both nostrils. So in terms of the work Dr. Bozkurt does, I'm very happy with it!
As for the team, they are really lovely, Dr. Bozkurt's assistant Selim was really good at answering all my questions and was very friendly and personable, same goes Dr. Bozkurt, and they understand that sometimes you may not have all the questions ready to ask upon the first meeting and have diligently and speedily answered any question I might have on Whatsapp. They were clear during the consultation that whilst my nose would look 80-90% like the image drawn, it is unlikely that it'll be an exact mirror. To me this seemed plausible as the human body is not an image and thus is likely not as easily manipulated as it is on the computer but I can say that my result is pretty similar to what was drawn up (although I do definitely need to wait for swelling to be fully gone before I can comment on that more accurately - especially as the tip always retains more fluid and for longer than the bridge). I felt that the information and expectations that they gave me was very realistic which is very important when making such a permanent change. Overall, my experience has definitely been a positive one which is somewhat a surprise considering my fear of surgery!
