Dr. Orhan Uçal
I forgot to write about my consultation with Orhan Ucal. He did the best talking. He was super kind and explained everything. He took some pictures of me and planned a nose, he also checked the planned nose if it's actually realistic to make and explained it through. Then, he showed me other patients' noses similar to mine. After all it went really great and was also free of charge. But I did already decide not to go with him even before I talked to him. SoI don't know why exactly but it was a no. Hope I'm not making any mistakes but I am trying to follow my guts as well.
Surgery Appointment Made
Hi, I did another consultation with Erkan Soylu. He also works natural, etc. but he was so cold. He also said no picture planning before. I just show him the noses I like and dislike and then he does what he thinks would fit my face. It sounded a bit scary. So even though I like his work on Instagram I didn't choose him.
I also changed my mind about Umit Taskin. Deep down I didn't feel any good energy and even though I think those people here/Instagram saying he botches people are fake, it affected my choice.
So I booked another appointment with Volkan Kahya. (It turns out even tho he asks for money for consultation he also asks for money for 3d imaging. I think it's so annoying. I don't even care about the money I spend on this journey, I have no planned budget for my nose and willing to pay anything but it just puts his character to a bad place in my mind. Hope I stated how I feel about this well.) He did a nose for me and I asked if it's possible if the tip is a little higher. He did make the change but his face went down. He said now 1/2 of your nostrils will be seen from the front, but the previous one would show 1/3 of it. I got so worried because I care about my front view more than profile. Yeah, I just wanted to make the tip higher but I wouldn't risk my front view. So I asked him to change back. His face was still soo down and he said I made it in between and it's ok. But his face was still soo bummed up. I already made my mind up about him before the meeting, even so, I did plan the surgery for next month. But I am home now and worrying about if it will look bad from the front. I don't know if I'll ever see him before the surgery. I might call them and ask for another meeting but not sure if they will be really welcoming to this idea. I don't know if I am overthinking or not but it's my first surgery and in the middle of my face :) Everybody says he is really nice, I don't know if it's just me or else but he was kinda cold and not so helpful. (That might be also because I am from Turkey. Some Turkish people have the tendency to behave better to foreigners but idk) He was kinda rushing it. I got so nervous at that time I forgot to ask how much of my nostrils will show when it's the last form, which is obviously my fault. I will still go with him because I really like his job and deep down still have a good feeling about him. I am just sharing the full experience with you.

Rhinoplasty W/nose Similar to Ethnic in Turkey
Hi, I've always wanted to get a nose job. I am finally able to afford it and also mentally ready. I am not black or Asian but I've always thought I have a nose kinda looks like an ethnic nose&needs similar methods to fix. No one I know agreed with me lol unless doctors I talked to. I live in ?stanbul. Since I live here I've already heard about some good surgeons for regular Turkish people noses. But I want to go with someone who is experienced with ethnic noses. I searched for almost every doctor in ?stanbul. Now, I am trying to choose between Ümit Ta?k?n and Volkan Kahya. Since I live in ?stanbul I've consulted with them both. Actually I've talked with Ümit Ta?k?n just today and waiting for him to send me options for my new nose. I guess I'll decide after that. I searched both Turkish&English forums, Instagram accounts, youtube videos about them. What frustrated me is there are really few reviews about them which makes choosing one harder. That's why I decided to write every step online both in English&Turkish.
My consultation with Volkan was good, he talked about what he is planning to do but didn't take any photos (maybe because his son was at intensive care unit so he had to leave early but we already talked about everything before he left). I saw a Turkish patient 1-week postop at his clinic which looked great but couldn't get a chance to talk to her.
My consultation with Umit was kinda better. He seemed a little more professional to me. He took my photos and as I said he will be sending me options for my nose. I saw an ethnic nose patient at his clinic and her nose seemed great. (I tried really hard to remember but I forgot her surgery date sorry)
I am trying to find every patient (especially the old ones). I sent so many DMs but not everyone is turning back. I've talked with a Turkish lady who was not happy with her nose done by Umit. She said her nose tip had fallen down and dr himself didn't like her nose after 1 year so did a revision -for free-. Still, she is not happy and feels like her nose is not even. (She sent me 2 pictures via Instagram but they were only for few seconds so I couldn't tell if it's even or not but it looked good to me tho) No other bad reviews but I am still waiting for answers :)
