As a male with client-facing work, the decision to undergo a rhinoplasty was one I approached with caution. I knew the consequences of a botched procedure on my ethnic nose could have serious ramifications for my career and self-confidence. After extensive research on various platforms, including RealSelf, Reddit, Yelp, and YouTube, I scheduled consultations with two surgeons in Los Angeles, including Dr. Nima.

My initial consultation with another prominent rhinoplasty surgeon left me impressed with his confidence but I felt lacking in personal connection (the other doctor was a little rude and told me that “no doctor could ever straighten your nose”). However, it was my meeting with Dr. Nima that truly solidified my decision. He not only exuded professionalism but also took the time to understand my concerns and aspirations (our appointment took nearly an hour). His thorough explanation of the surgical approach and realistic expectations reassured me that he was the right surgeon for me. What was also reassuring was how COVID-conscious his office is. They made sure that I was feeling well, everyone was wearing a mask, and in general made it feel like a safe space.

Leading up to the procedure, Dr. Nima and his team provided comprehensive support and guidance. There were several check-ins that occurred, and they had a number that I could text just in case I ever had any questions or concerns. When it came to actually figuring out how best to go about the surgery, Dr. Nima and I spent the pre-op (a few weeks in advance of the surgery) walking through exactly what he would do and how he would do it. I emphasized that my first preference was to ensure that my breathing would get better (I could only breathe out of one nostril at a time) and that i don't want to loss my ethnic look. He took all of my feedback, made edits to his plan, and took the time to explain how he'd execute (and explained the piezo technique to me in detail and why he uses it).

Despite the complexity of my nose, the surgery went smoothly, albeit taking longer than anticipated. He only does one surgery a day and so i knew that he wouldn't rush the process. Throughout the recovery process, Dr. Nima and his staff went above and beyond to ensure my well-being. Again, any concerns I had were promptly addressed via text, and I felt supported every step of the way.

Recovery progressed remarkably well, thanks to the pre and post-operative recommendations provided by Dr. Nima's office. Despite experiencing a minor infection and persistent swelling around the rib graft donor area, the overall healing process was smooth. When the cast came off after a week, I was overjoyed with the results. Dr. Nima had flawlessly executed my vision, and for the first time, I could breathe freely through both nostrils. Words cannot describe how incredible this man's hands are. Flawless execution across the board.

In the following weeks, his office kept in close contact with me. I eventually began to return to my everyday life without any problems. The new nose, though SO drastically different to me, has been difficult for many people in my day to day life to pinpoint as it looks so natural within the context of the rest of my face. Now, over four months post-surgery, I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Nima to anyone considering rhinoplasty. His skill, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients make him stand out in the field. My journey with Dr. Nima and his team has been nothing short of impressive, and I would choose them again without hesitation.

To all the men in particular reading this, Dr. Nima is THE BEST person to go to. Something like over half his rhinoplasty cases are men and so he's really carved out a speciality here (and if you are an ethnic man, do not look anywhere else). Yes, Dr. Nima is pricey but this is something that I will carry for the rest of my life and so I implore anyone who has the resources to come to Dr. Nima.
