I Had the Most Horrendous Experience with Dr Chris Moss

I have been very reluctant to write a review but after many years have decided that my experience does matter, and I have a right to discuss it. I had the most horrific experience with Chris Moss. I had a rhinoplasty several years ago, very basic, no breaking of bones or anything. The problem was, I had briefed him to very simply shave the top of my hump very slightly, as I didn't want a big change. Initially, I had only sought a small closed procedure. I only wanted an extremely minor change, as I was pretty happy with my nose overall. As I waited in my gown to go into theatre, Dr Moss came out and asked me, 'So what are we doing again?'. This concerned me at the time, as we'd already had a consultation in which I'd very clearly stated what I was after. I was very nervous and mumbled something about 'slightly lower'. After the procedure, it became clear that he'd taken a lot more off than I'd requested. Not only that, but there was a very clear lump on the right hand side of my nose. I went back many times to talk to Dr Moss about my concerns regarding the lump, and he would dismiss me. He told me that I was being 'a perfectionist'. After several years of distress, he admitted there had been a 'complication'. He has never taken any responsibility for this. I had to undergo a revision procedure. Then, another lump appeared, this time in my tip. I had to seek help from another surgeon, who has attempted to fix this lump, but it hasn't worked. I now hate my nose. I've written to Dr Moss, expressing my dismay, my anger, at the outcomes and the exorbitant amount of money that I have paid for these procedures that have simply failed. He has not taken any responsibility, or offered a refund. He has simply stated again that complications occur. I would seriously urge anyone wanting a procedure like this to examine their motivations and recognise that this is a permanent procedure that can lead to lifelong problems. It is also something that is inextricably linked to one's self esteem and that is where you ought to be putting your efforts and finances, not surgery.
