So Happy I Got the Surgery and Chose Dr East
I have felt self conscious about my nose since I was 11 and have debated getting rhinoplasty for years. My nose was very prominent, had a large bump and a droopy columella. I thought my nose was so bad it probably couldn’t even be fixed with surgery.
Since meeting Dr East (over zoom due to COVID), I have felt very confident that I have chosen the best surgeon possible. During my online consultation, he listened carefully to my concerns and gave his suggestions. I was very excited because I felt that he understood me perfectly. He created some morph photos of my new nose using pictures I sent him which was super exciting. After this, I had to wait until June (again due to COVID), to see him in person. We went over what I wanted again and he did a physical examination of my nose, took pictures and did a second morph.
My surgery date was set for the beginning of July and went really well! Now, 10 months on, my nose looks amazing! It’s exactly what I had imagined, if not better. Although I experienced some pain in the first week and a lot of swelling, I haven’t regretted it once!
My mum was worried it would change my appearance too much, however now she loves it as much as me. In fact, she thinks that Dr East is the best nose surgeon in the world as she has never seen such a well done rhinoplasty. She might be biased because she’s my mum, but I truly believe that I couldn’t have made a better choice. I still look like myself, but now my nose is not the center of attention.
I also wanted to mention Giulia (the clinical nurse specialist) who works with Dr East. She has been absolutely incredible from the start and I can’t thank her enough! She reassured me at every step and was there on the day of the surgery in the operation theatre. Having her there made the whole experience a lot less stressful. I didn’t think I would share the before and after pictures because I don’t want to publicise that I have had surgery. However, I think that the result is stunning and would like to share it for others, who like me have struggled with the appearance of their noses.
