Surgery day
I had my surgery done after work yesterday. There wasn't any preparation necessary, except for light meals, All I did was show up at my scheduled procedure.
I was excited but at the same time very anxious. I've already seen how rhinoplasty is done and I admit it looked painful but results matter to me more than being afraid so.. there!
I was given oral sedatives to help me relax and sleep during the procedure. I was really looking forward to falling asleep cause I was a bit afraid to feel something but it didn't happen so I was awake the entire time. The procedure was done under local anesthesia, surprisingly, aside from the injections, you wouldn't even feel that something was ever being done to you. I was surprised that it was already finished! It took less than 2 hours from the time I laid down on the operating table.
I've attached photos of how my nose looks like before the procedure and immediately after (before it was covered in tape) you can see the stiches in my nose.

3 days post-op
3 days after surgery, the tape on my nose was removed and my nose and ears were cleaned up. Blood that was crusting on my nose were removed so the sutures will come off easier. It will be removed 5 days to a week after surgery.
Liquid oozed from my ears until this morning. It was the anesthesia that was injected to my ears when the cartilage was harvested. The nurse explained that it's good that the liquid came out on their own cause some patients needed help extracting it with syringe so I guess it's good (its just really disgusting)
My face is very swollen today. I could hardly recognize myself cause I look like a cat! Haha???? but its very natural to be swollen and in my case, the other half is more swollen than the other side because I favor one side when sleeping. I don't feel any pain. Even the pain on my ears have worn off. I've also washed my hair. The swollen part of my face is just a bit itchy. Havent washed my face yet, I just wet a towel and wipe my face clean with it.
