Dr Ali Murat Akkus

I wanted to get a rhinoplasty with Dr Ali Murat Akkus. He has a nice portfolio on his Instagram.
I reached out to his assistant through WhatsApp and this experience made me change my mind.
At first things were smooth. The assistant asked for a video of myself, stating complaints and expectations for my nose. She showed the video to the doctor and she then informs me I'm a suitable patient. We then proceeded to schedule a consultation and operation date. She then asks for my name and surname. After I provided that, I haven't heard a response (it showed she read it). But I understand things can happen especially considering I last heard from her on a Saturday. (Might be closed on weekends). It wasn't until Tuesday that I wrote back asking "Is this date still good?" and "Is there any other information I should know before consultation?". She responded the next day with "Of course its your date"(with a smiley emoji) and also how if i have any nose filler, I should remove it.
At this point, I felt weird because I feel like not enough information was given to me especially considering how I told her that I'm from out of the country. I didn't feel good and felt I had to ask all the questions instead of her providing it to me.
Maybe this happened because I had already reached out to the doctors Instagram a week before I reached out through WhatsApp inquiring price. Through Instagram, they had already provided general information on the price and steps for out of country patients. Not sure if she was the one who spoke to me on Instagram before and maybe she made that connection. Therefore, it can be the reason why she did not provide me the information that I wanted to hear again? Though, her name was not stated on the Instagram message (only that it was an assistant of the doctor).
Anyways, I continued to write her questions like asking the address of the consultation, if I pay the day of consultation, and the steps for out of country patients. She responded back with the address of consultation, the price of consultation, and lastly the date and time of consultation & tests and my operation. She didn't answer my question if I pay on the day of consultation. Its excused though because it could of been my wording or language barrier. She speaks English but has an accent. But then her response to the date and time of consultation and operation, she literally just stated the date and time. My question was "What are the steps for an out of country patient." Her response was plain and it didn't really answer my question.
At this point, I went with my gut feeling based on my experience through WhatsApp and have not chosen Dr Ali Murat Akkus as my surgeon for Rhinoplasty. The assistant seemed nice but not responding to me sent a red flag. Also, I kinda expected she would have provided me more reassurance and the information first rather than me asking for it.
My purpose of this review is to just share my experience and contribute to the Rhinoplasty community considering how there aren't many reviews on Dr Ali Murat Akkus on Realself. This review is not to make her look bad because who knows? Maybe it was just miscommunication, or language barrier or a technical problem or something.
